Chef Express is an example in understatement. If you judge by the entrance, you might be tempted to lump it with the Mr. Panino on the left, a casual, no frills place for a sandwich and coffee on the fly. Well, turns out that if you venture inside you’re faced with an oversized dining area, accommodating over a hundred hungry travelers who want to enjoy a legitimate meal while forgetting the hectic ambiance of the terminal. The food options should please every taste, and at lunch you pick and choose from the displayed items. If you’ve had enough with pasta, pizza and panini, here you’ll be able to indulge in meat dishes, salads and some seafood options. The desserts are there but look«alright», I wouldn’t bother. The food is good, but you have to put things in perspective: it’s good all considering. Having a decent meal at a busy train station is hard enough as it is, and Chef Express offers the opportunity to fill the belly, stretch your legs and unwind. I suggest going for the combo offerings, if you start collecting the premium options(say, porchetta or seafood salad), your lunch ticket might easily get close to € 20, twice the price of a richer combo. I won’t give it five stars because the portion sizes tend to vary depending on who’s serving behind the counter, and the cappuccino is fairly disappointing.

Only in Italy could an airport terminal have quality food. We had table service and a relaxing lunch before our flight. Panini’s were fresh and good value for the price we paid. They also had a nice selections of wine and coffees. FYI if you are in a hurry table service tends to be slow and we had to ask for our check. We were not in a rush so it was a nice relaxing lunch.

This is located in the Terminali. It is nice and clean in here. The Terminal is a very busy place, so it is a nice break from it all. You order what you want in the way of drinks and coffees, plus certain food items. You do this at the counter and they prepare it and ring up any other items that you get from the many chilled stands and counters, They serve all sorts of coffee, teas, soda, bottled water, beer and wine. They also have Gelato, sandwich, and soup. Lots of bread items. You select a table and sit down to eat. You leave all your dishes and trays and the staff will come to pick them up. Some of the people working behind the counter are a little on the bitter side. But, we were lucky enough to have a young man that was friendly, and funny. He actually made our day with his humor and smile.

Eigentlich nur ein Schnellrestaurant im Bahnhof. aber was für eines! Der Aufbau ähnelt den Marche-Restaurants. Also Selbstbedienung mit vielen frisch zubereiteten Gerichten.
