Food was the worst we’ve had in Italy. House wine tastes like it was watered down. Staff was friendly but brief and although we had prompt service some around us waited too long for service and left.

Our worst meal in Rome. Both of our pastas were very bad. Mine was way too salty and my wife’s carbonara was unrecognizable. The service was also pushy and poor. The only redeeming quality was the free wifi.(not too redeeming as most restaurants have free wifi!)

We came here early for lunch and they had just opened. I have never waited an hour just to see if my food would come out, but my friend recommended this place so I figured why not. There was no reason for them not to have served us (we were the ONLY customers) except maybe to attract other customers.
Got the carbonara. It was very greasy but it was filling and about 9 euro for lunch.

Great service and a great 9.5 Euro menu! We stayed across the way on week long vacation here in Roma and although we tried other places, sushi and other Italian places, we just kept coming back. The Americiara (sp?) pasta with bacon and cheese and tomato was amazing and so are all their huge salads. The staff was always über friendly and we recommend them highly for quality and friendliness and atmosphere! Outside dining for people watching, or inside in the AC, depending on your mood. Many locals eat here too.

Came here for our last meal in Italy, so we’d had enough pasta around the city/​country to be able to judge. And in my humble opinion this was the best pasta I’d had in my life. No hyperbole. The owner Marco was an awesome host too.

The best Restaurant in Rome, ok well it is one of my top 10 in Rome. Please give it a try if you have not been here yet. I cant wait to go back…

Thought it was average. Not bad, but not great either. But the bread was crusty & good.

We have been in Rome for 3 days and have had great pastas and pizzas. My husband was craving steak and needed a break from the carbs. I am so glad we found this place on Unilocal!Excellent steak, caprese salad, meatballs, and the broccoli was fantastic! The caprese was a little salty, but I liked it! House red was pretty good too. Definitely coming back before we leave.

Came back for the broccoli! Ha ha, yes I said broccoli! It’s so simple but ohh so good. This time wasn’t as good as the last, a bit on the soggy side but the flavor was still there. The tagliatelle pasta is fantastic as well good price, nice service, English on the main menu (don’t need to ask for an English menu) house wine isn’t too bad either!

We stopped here for dessert one night and decided to come back for dinner the next evening. We thought the food was very good. The portions and value ranked highly on our list. I give it extra points for the ambiance, which was warm and welcoming. The owners were onsite at all times and they were attentive to their patrons. This gave us the impression that they actually wanted us there, which was a welcome change from many of the other dining experiences we had in Centro Storico.
Their menu is very robust and they offer more than the 4 pastas and 3 meat choices that are found in most of the local spots. They served us an digestif each time which we really liked.

Meilleur Tiramisu de Rome, nous sommes de fervent amateurs et nous en avons goûté plusieurs, même le très réputé Pompi (qui fait très industriel). Et bien le Tiramisu maison de la Fattoincasa est de loin le meilleur. ;-) les pizzas sont fines et excellentes également. bonne dégustation a vous.

Pasta in Italy? Who would’ve thought!
After a couple «so-​so» resturants we were giving up. We were thinking maybe we were ordering the wrong things. We were determined to get our fill of delicious pasta and thankfully we wandered in to Fattoincasa — and got possibly our best meal in Rome!
I ordered a pasta with broccoli. It had a creamy sauce and was so amazing. The size was just right and for a lunch filled me up really good. I wasn’t hungry till we got some pizza later that night — but that’s another review.
The place isn’t too big but it’s comfortable. They had free WiFi and I took full advantage by getting on Facebook and Unilocal to see where our next stops would be!
The servers were so nice and the food came out fairly fast. As I mentioned, best meal I had in Rome. Might be that I was ordering the wrong dishes at other places but I hit the nail on the head here. Not to say the other food was HORRIBLE but I was just expecting it to be as mindblowing as people said. This one blew my mind and I am currently salivating things about it.

3.5 stars actually because it offers honest portions for its price, unlike the other restaurants that offer the same quality but inflate the price because they are so close to a big tourist attraction. Not the greatest food but if you want a filling meal for cheap this is the place to go

I read the reviews and I think the score is too low for a place like this. We dined here in a group of 7 people. We sit outside, the space was reduced but comfortable. We had appetizer and steak. I had the tagliata al tartufo (sliced beef with truffle sauce on it) and it was delicious. The placed is located in an alley in the historic center of Rome.
