Very touristy and below average. Have no idea why Rick Steves would ever recommend this place. Lamb chops were tiny and overcooked as were the little overcooked potatoes. My husband’s Saltimboca was also very small and very ordinary. Several things were off, like when we asked for butter for our bread our waiter acted like it was unusual asking for butter even though the table next to us had butter. But the very worst was the Baba Au Rhum dessert, I even asked where was the rum? Or at least rum flavoring! Not a TRACE of rum. Primitivo wine was delicious, but one would hope a restaurant of this(so called) reputation would at least have good wine. They even charged us for the TINY shot of Limoncello, which most restaurants serve au gratis. We spent E120! Please go anyplace else.

The location is amazing. So close to the Pantheon but not so close as to be caught in the crowds… The service was impeccable. We had a reservation which is a must if you wish to enjoy this restaurant on a Friday night. Outside seating is great and they did chase away the flower sellers and loud musicians! The food was really good. We had a delicious antipasto of cheese and meats… Plenty to share. For the main course, you cannot go wrong with their pasta. Also the grilled scampi was incredible. Only regret was that we did not get the artichokes! Next time… Because when we come back to Rome, we are getting dinner here again!

Ate here last night based off of recommendation from a local and the food was outstanding. Our server was exceptionally friendly and helpful. My colleague had the fillet with a peppercorn sauce, insane. I had the veal chop with black truffle, I’ve never described a veal chop as like butter, until last night. Surprised to see a few bad reviews sprinkled in here, sometimes it’s just a bad night. Last night was not one of them. Highly recommended

Ordinary food. Over 70% mark up On beverages. Food is ok but takes forever. Service is based on accent. Be ware!

This restaurant is known for having American politicians dining here based on the walls covered in pictures. Food was good but not amazing. I ordered the Cacio e Pepe and the Fettuccine with clams along with Cheesecake for desert. Pastas were good but don’t expect the cheesecake to taste like what you are use to in the states. Let’s just say you need to try it at least once in your life.

La ensalada caprese estaba rica. Los espaguetis carbonara muy buenos pero el risoto nada del otro mundo. El personal atento y educado. Pegado al Panteon.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I came here tonight with my brand new husband on our honeymoon. It was recommended from an Italian friend. Apparently since we were no one special and not Italian we got treated like someone with the plague. We had a reservation for two and were seated at a table that was basically the extra table added by the toilets and where they drop the dishes. Our waiter checked on us twice maybe three times the whole evening. My new husband had the salmon which he said was barely edible and I had the I ribeye which was brought to our table cold. For the dinner that was supposed to be our special dinner on our honeymoon I’m more than disappointed. I would recommend friends get a root canal over this restaurant. Thanks for making my honeymoon memorable.

Jason Baldasarri, the owner has reinvented a wonderful dining experience following in the footsteps of his most beloved Papa, Fortunado The pasta is excellent and the seafood well chosen and perfectly prepared. The wine list is comprehensive and well selected. The shadow of the 2000 yr old Pantheon creates an ambiance that cannot be duplicated. A must visit restaurant

Nice, but touristy restaurant near the Pantheon. Seating inside and out, we dined in the back room surrounded by American bishops, priests and seminary students in Rome preparing to be ordained the following week. Literally surrounded on all sides. When the plates came to the table, all heads bowed and there was a flurry of signs of the crosses. Needless to say we were on our best behavior. All by way of saying, these priests live well, with multiple courses, wine flowing freely, and except for the frock on the seminary students(of note, the senior priests were in street clothes – blue blazers with large crests on the pocket, nice watches on the wrists) might be any other well heeled fraternal order clapping each other on the back and talking about football. While we dined well in Rome, this location charged a premium of about 40−50% on the food and 100% on the wine. We had pasta cacio e pepe, veal with mushrooms and a bottle of local red wine. All quite good although with a longer than expected delay between courses, likely due to location and parties of 6 – 8 priests who all came in at once. Strolling through the piazza after dinner, a street musician sang ‘Imagine’ while children ran about blowing bubbles.

First dinner in Rome and our least favorite. We ordered the veal meatballs which were a huge disappointment and the gnocchi. While the gnocchi was cooked to perfection the sauce was mediocre.

We went here for lunch and had a fantastic time. The linguine and clams as the best of the trip. My secondi was veal with butter and sage which was great. My wife had the salmon pasta which was amazing. This place is right off the piazza from the Pantheon. Highly recommended.

This was an excellent restaurant. Many American priests and locals have dinner here. The owner was raised in Los Angeles and has a great wine list. In one week in Rome I went here twice.

I was a bit nervous about eating here as it is so close to the Pantheon. Generally, I don’t like to eat at restaurants right next to tourist attractions but I decided to give it ago. The service and food were pretty good. We tried some veggies, the minestrone, veal meatballs, and a couple pastas. We were too stuffed to order dessert but they brought out complimentary limoncella and biscotti which we consumed even though we were stuffed. The biscotti was really really good and the limoncella was strong!
