great gelato. This place is a must try when in Rome. The place is crowded inside but it is worth the trip. They have multiple locations in Rome. This place was recommended by our hotel staff.

Want to gorge on some of the best gelato in the world? It has to be in Italy and in a place none other than Giolitti, Rome. This the oldest and the best Gelato maker in Italy and it’s almost as good as saying it’s the best food you’ll ever have because it leaves you full for the next 2 hours! In case you’re vacationing in the sunny Rome in summers, hereee iss the yummylicious way to keep the heat awayyy :)

yummy gelato– first you pay for what you want and get a ticket, choose what you want, give the server your ticket and you are good to go !!! sit outside for great and fun view of passersby

The only thing wrong with this place is the crowd to get the gelato! One had to learn how the system worked before you can get your treat… i.e. had to pay first and then stand in line to get your gelato from a large selection! We had a variety of caffe, hazelnut, baileys, chocolate, berry… topped with cream!

I think this place is great, but it is a little overrated. The staff isn’t as accommodating as they should be, but then they are catering to annoying tourists 90% of the time. There are better gelaterias around Rome, especially in the surrounding areas like Monteverde and Trastevere.

Awesome classic gelato. A daily stop. The owner is a doll. If you are female tell him you want ‘baci’ for a good laugh!
