Great little café with excellent gelato and the best espresso we had while staying in Rome(and in five days we drank quite a lot!) This place is great for people with food allergies as everything is clearly marked. There are several fruit sorbet options without milk for the lactose-intolerant, and they even have gluten-free cones!

Perfect for an afternoon espresso and genet to after fighting Vatican crowds. Small shady seating area to the side near the fountain — water is drinkable. Small gelato selection and none of the crazy favors. Just simple delicious old school goodness. Staff friendly and they all speak English. Best espresso in the neighborhood. We will take a side trip to visit if anywhere near the area.

Good ice cream with original set of tastes. But the staff is friendly and allows to taste before you buy.

This place by far had the friendliest people working there… The owner was super nice as well… I mean in the past 4 days, we have seen some very rude people… one of them who refused to let us dine only because we were speaking English… Going back to the gelato. Oh yes, it was one of the bests I have ever tried… I got the small size blood orange and hazelnut flavor and the flavor was just divine… Price wise, it was cheaper than other places I have passed by… Let me make this clear, I am not a stingy person but I don’t have a gold mine either so having said that I try to go to places that serve good quality food for cheaper… Makes sense? Location wise, they are very close to the Vatican museum. So if you have got the map, you can easily get to this place… Staff wise, as I mentioned earlier, they were very friendly… I have to thank my fellow Unilocal friend Paola P. who suggested this place… Thank you somuch Paola!

Favorite gelato in Rome and the friendliest owner who gave us free goodies every time we came!

We had a lot of gelato during our two weeks in Italy, and this is the only place we went to that served gelato in a canoli shell cone. Million. Dollar. Idea. We had spent all day at the Vatican and in an effort to take in the sites, we did not really eat during the day. We wandered out and grabbed a sandwich to split since it was about 4:30PM and we did not want to eat so much that we wouldn’t be hungry for dinner. After the sandwich, we were still a bit peckish and after walking aimlessly for a while, stumbled upon Hedera. We decided to go with straciatella and strawberry and, just as we were about to order, we notice that for an extra euro, you could have your gelato served in a canoli shell cone, rather than just a standard sugar or waffle cone. It was one of the best euro we spent on our trip — the gelato was phenomenal and it was perfectly balanced out by the almost cookie-ish cone. If you go to the Vatican, make sure you put this place on your list.

Awesome gelato. Well worth walking past 45 – 50 other places to get to. Great location, exceptionally friendly service. At the end of the day, for gelato, it’s all about the quality and the freshness of the ingredients. This place was awesome. If traveling in the Mediterranean check out some of the other reviews I have of gelato joints.

Located near St. Peter’s Square, this ice cream shop is very cute in the side alleys off the main street. The gelato was very creamy, heavy and perfect! I got a small cone of pistachio gelato and got two big scoops of gelato, one big and one small sugar cone. Ahh, I wish I could go back to Rome and order this again. It’s so delicious and creamy… I would highly recommend coming here!

This is better than the gelato shop across the way, Sublime. You just have to compare strawberry at both as we had. Sublime also has good tiramisu, but no tea, coffee, yet their sweets are excellent.

So we where walking around rome desperately looking for a restaurant to have a meal. We stumbled upon this piece of heavenly sent«Gelato» on our way to a not so good pasta. Damm tourist traps! I say… Going back to this place Wow! the Chocolate gelato was out of this world… It a MUST when in ROME. Gelato is no shown like a cheap dollar store object… Its carefully kept from sunlight and the elements as the owner eloquently informed me… THIS is a MUst goo
