Hotel Athena

I stayed 3 nights. The staff were helpful and spoke English. The accomodation was basic, quite modern and clean. I am a heavy sleeper yet still woke each morning before 7am to the sound of ladies talking as they prepared breakfast. In fact, I could hear guests talk in the rooms either side if me, and when it was quiet could even hear the conversations at the reception! So there is no privacy and the hotel (bed and breakfast rooms) cannot be recommended for couples or for what young children may hear.
I hope the hotel will invest in some sound boarding that would not cost much to fit and a small roll of carpet down the centre of the corridor would stop the echo from conversations outside.
The breakfast was reasonable although a little spoilt on Sunday by a young lady who marched in at 10:02 and turned off the TV without a word to let us know that breakfast finishes at 10:00am and so we should hurry up and go so that she can clean up.
Some small changes would give this hotel an extra star: sound proof and teach some staff to whisper at 06:55 and be a touch more polite.

Nun ja, nicht grad das Highlight. Frühstück übersichtlich, recht laut, kleine Zimmer. Aber für die Preiskategorie doch recht ordentlich
