My wife and I were looking for a place to eat after we arrived from our flight into Rome. We decided to eat at Luciano and had a fabulous meal. The restaurant is a short(and safe) walk from Rome Cavalieri. We shared mussels and clams as our antipasta and then ordered lobster pasta and grilled scampi with spagetti as our entrees. This was BYFAR the best meal we had in Rome and the prices were very reasonable. If you are looking to avoid the tourist traps eat at this restaurant. Also, just to be safe you might want to make a reservation. Enjoy!

First dined here 10 years ago while staying at the nearby Hilton Cavalieri. Easy walk from the hotel in a definitely non-tourist area. The majority of the tables were locals, which is a great change from the crowds downtown. The food was excellent and extremely reasonable in price. When we came back to Rome, we made a point to find this place again and enjoyed it so much we ate here two nights in a row. If you are staying in the area, I would consider I Luciani a must visit.

Great food and great staff. Felt like family coming here(and I’m Asian) :) food is authentic and everything you would want from an Italian restaurant. Definitely recommend. Don’t pass up on dessert.
