There have not been many times where I have walked into a shop in awe of any kind of craftsmanship, but my stop into Ibiz today was one of those times. This small shop located on the Via del Chiavari is home to hand crafted leather goods including bags, shoes, and other accessories.
I initially walked out after thinking about a wallet for several minutes, only to find myself coming back to the shop a little later to correct my earlier error. The price is a little on the higher end (55 Euro); however, considering the work that goes into each piece… inside the very same shop If you were wondering… the wallet was a bargain.
Would you rather pay that for a unique piece or over 200 Euro for something of inferior quality at a designer shop by the Spanish Steps? The answer was simple for me.

When you walk in, and see the gentleman cutting and stitching the leather at his in-​store work table, you know this is a quality place. I picked up a gorgeous leather Dopp kit (aka toiletry bag) for 65 Euros; a good price for the look and feel of this bag. I attempted to haggle on the price – it felt like the right thing to do. He chuckled and said «this isn’t Marrakech!»
Aside from this bag, he also makes sandals, a variety of purses, and countless other leather goods big and small; my friend picked up a very unique wallet.
A great place for very reasonably priced leather goods.
