They have a very good aperativo deal. They are also open pretty late so it is a fun place to hang out. Their food is okay.

We were walking on a street that was not the street we wanted to walk on and ended up passing by here. Tired of walking and even though we just had some kebabs, we thought we’d sit have a drink. The trendy atmosphere of the patio was very pretty and everyone seemed to be eating clams and drinking giant spritz cocktails. We grabbed a seat outside and ordered our own spritz cocktail at 7EUR each. Expensive. But what made up for it was that the server told us it was happy hour, so there was a free buffet inside of appetizers — all types of appetizers. My boyfriend was not hungry, but then again neither was I, but the idea that there had bow tie pasta with clams made me go in twice to grab food. The food wasn’t good at all, but it was edible considering it was free and all you can eat. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. I probably wouldn’t come back because I’d be on the hunt for happy hour places that serve better food(do they exist?) but I definitely don’t regret having came here.

I am a study abroad student here in Rome for a few weeks. I’ve been here for about 2.5 weeks now and there hasn’t been one day yet that I haven’t gone to Il Piccolo Diavolo for a cappuccino in the morning. The staff is so wonderful and friendly and always seem to be happy to be working! Every cappuccino I’ve had has been delicious and inexpensive. The only pastry I’ve tried is the croissant and I’ve enjoyed it every time. The atmosphere is also great and I’ve never been the only customer in the café which is a good sign to me. It’s a fun place to go at night as well and seems to be popular with the local Italians! Definitely recommend!

I became friendly with all the staff here studying down the block for the semester. A great location to have a drink before heading out to dinner in the area as it has a significant portion of outside seating. They also do a nice spread for Aperitivo and always fresh. Buon Appetito!

I must admit, the Unilocal app in Rome was a bit deceiving, only because it lists Il Piccolo Diavolo as a «brunch» place, when in fact it’s definitely a pastry place, plus a bar(nice versatility of space use depending on the time of day!). So, though I came in search of brunch, I was rewarded with cannolis and croissants and wee cups of Italian espresso. Their pastries were fresh and flavorful, though nothing particularly fancy(Paris ruined me to croissants a long time ago). It’s a nice place for a standard quick breakfast on the north side of the city, with close walking distance to Lepanto metro stop, and a fair number of bus services. I wasn’t able to stay and see how the bar works, though it seems like a cozy place that would be frequented more by locals than tourists. That’s not a bad thing by any means; maybe when I make it back to Rome, I’ll pop in and check it out to report back.
