Probably the best Roman Sandwich I had while staying in Rome, I would recommend the Massimo and the Luca. I also recommend picking up a granite from Chocolate on your way from the basilicas.

Service was excellent — loved interacting with the chef and his counter support and they helped us to choose options. GETTHEPORCHETTA. Each person will want their own — DONOTBESWAYEDBYTHEOTHEROPTIONS!!! You WILL regret it. PORCHETTAALLTHEWAY. Both options are equally delicious so order both and swap halfway through :)

Best sandwich in Rome! This place is very busy but worth the wait. I ordered the classic Panino Corinne and it tasted amazing. They make the sandwiches right in front of you, everything is fresh. Despite the busyness the 2 workers(when I was there) were polite, friendly and had prompt service.

I fell in love with sandwiches after eating at All’Antico Vinaio in Florence for five consecutive days, so I had high hopes Likeat could sustain my sandwich crave during my time in Rome. Well, I was wrong. For about the same price, 5 euros, you get half the sandwich size, less toppings, spreads, and overall, just more limited options at Likeat compared to All’Antico. Don’t get me wrong, a sandwich will fill you up, and they’re tasty sandwiches, but I’ve had better. By better, I don’t mean marginally better; if you consider quality, portion, experience, and value, Likeat doesn’t stand a chance against All’Antico. The workers were very helpful and friendly, and English was not a problem at all! If you do decide to dine in, all the seating is bar styled so you’ll be on a stool facing either the window or a wall. Speaking for Rome, I think this is a great place for a filling, affordable meal. I would recommend it if it’s along the way or if you’re tight on money.

Very kind and friendly servers behind the counter. Tasty and portable sandwiches to meet our hunger needs and time crunch to see the sights!

Loved it. I enjoy finding small places like this and taking the recommendation of the chef. Had a pork roast with rosemary and peppers, sundries on some local bread was fantastic. They speak English also for the travellers, you can grab a local beer immediately from the fridge while you watch your sandwich being made and pay after your done. Loved it!

I am always going to remember this as the best sandwich I have ever had, which is incredible considering how a) cheap and b) subtle this place is. It is just the right amount of trendy but if you are walking by you could easily miss it and mistake it for some sort of pedestrian fast food joint. But holy shit, this sandwich was good! The meats are amazingly fresh and high quality and the combination of flavors I got was astonishing! I don’t remember exactly what it was(I wish I did, I’m writing this in retrospect) by I remember there was some sort of egg, tuna paste, meat, and vinegar thing going. It was fucking exceptional. If you are ever in Rome, this is the #1 place to go as far as I know. Get yourself a bomb ass sandwich!

Simple but effective, this sandwich shop offers to choose everything you want to put in your sandwich, they have different kinds of meat, fresh vegetables and sauces. If you don’t know what to choose, the staff is very nice and lets you time to decide or even advises you. The place is pretty small, there are a few seats available. It’s a nice alternative to all the pretty expensive restaurants around, too bad they do half sandwiches, I could’ve eaten a whole one !(Hope they dont put the other half of the bread in the trash…)

Great food and service. Though the shop is mainly a sandwich shop, they make customized salads. I had a delicious beef salad with mixed greens, fresh mozzarella, eggplants, cherry tomatoes for 5.5 euros. Prices for sandwiches are equally reasonable starting at 4 euros. If you’re looking for a healthy quick bite at an affordable price, this place won’t disappoint.

This sandwich shop is great. For those of us looking for a tasty sandwich for a great price, this is your place! The menu is in both italian and English, so you don’t end up with a meal you didn’t expect and hate(i.e. my experience in florence). The man working behind the counter was very friendly and didn’t mind answering our questions and also offered to make us something unique if we wanted. My husband got the #1 with porcetta, very crisp and delicious. I believe my sandwich was called the lorenzo; pesto, buff mozz, sundried tomato and pancetta. Both sandwiches were great. I took a star off simply because the shop is tiny and it’s difficult to eat comfortably if their is anyone else in the store. It was fun to read the chalkboards of customers past and to add our names to the mix as well:)

Great food, great service. The owner was nice and suggested a sandwich which turned out to be really good! Prices are from 4 to 5.5 € and drinks were 2 € Food was good and big enough for a proper meal.

An excellent stop if you’re weary of 2 hr long, expensive meals in Rome. We loved the food everywhere we went, but sometimes you just need something quick and cheap while you’re sightseeing. This place is like Subway in the US, only So.Much.Better. Good vegetarian options, yummy fresh breads, and plenty of veggies– oh, and the cheese! Definitely don’t skip the cheese. Centrally located and friendly staff. Very impressed.

Our trip was June 2015. We made this place a must visit based on Tripadvisor review. Let me tell you that we were not disappointed one bit. As a matter of fact, we came and ate here twice during our visit to Rome. Getting to Likeats is not very difficult. I will give you directions from Castel Sant Angelo which is easier. Once you exit and cross over the bridge away from the Castel, make a right. The very next street/bridge is Corso Vittorio Emanuele II where you will make a left.. Travel perhaps 100 – 150 feet and Likeats will be on your right hand side. It is directly next to a coffee bar. You cant miss it. Both gentlemen/owners were very kind and welcomed us. They wanted to know where we were from and we told them. We ordered and one owner came to check on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal. The second time we came in we had two different sandwiches and shared a bottle of beer. Both visits cost us approximately $ 10 — $ 12 Euros per visit. The place is a bit small and most people take their food out. We ate inside both times. There is no extra fee to sit at the tables. When I asked if there was a fee, he just smiled and said that they don’t charge here. Of course we asked for picture and had to write our names on their board. We really felt as if we were meeting celebrities. Great place, great food, amazing customer service. This is a MUSTVISIT place when in Rome. TIPS One sandwich is very filling and will hit the spot. Prices for all drinks and food unbelievably low for the amount of food you get. Owners can custom make you a sandwich. No Restrooms

Was SO excited to eat here after reading the reviews. Ordered my sandwich and the guy taking my order suggested I try a different one. I considered it but stayed with my original choice. Saw my sandwich being made… Wasn’t offered to add any toppings as previously suggested in another review. The guy called out my order, handed me my sandwich with a smile and I took it and left. Got outside and realized not only was it not the sandwich I ordered, but it had ham in it, which I don’t eat. Had to spit out my bite and throw the whole thing out. Very unimpressed.

Tiny sandwich place near St Peter’s Basilica. Really fresh bread and really fresh ingredients. When you need a quick sandwich this place definitely works. We plan on coming back before our Roma trip is done. Again, everything’s really fresh and the price is right. Hard to beat.

The sandwiches at Likeat are by far the best I have ever had. The porchetta is amazing and the owners are so proud of their hand crafted sandwiches(as they should be). We went there 3 times because not only were they delicious they were very affordable. When I was having trouble deciding, they asked what I like and made me the most incredible sandwich that wasn’t even on the menu. Fresh bread, fresh veggies, smoked cheese and 3 different kinds of pork. My daughter is a vegetarian and had an eggplant sandwich and raved about it. So glad that we found this place.

Had our first meal in Rome here and couldn’t have been happier! We had the #1 — Porchetta(roasted pork), mixed greens and balsamic and the #3 — speck, smoked cheese, arugula, roasted eggplant, truffle sauce. Both were phenomenal! Super fresh ingredients, very generous with the ingredients and crazy inexpensive — the sandwiches are 3.5 — 5 euros each and are HugE!!! They also have Kwak beer for 4 euros! Definitely check this place out — its close to the Pantheon /Piazza Navona

I promised Corinne as she made my sandwich that I’d write her a Unilocal review… so here you go… I love you Likeat! Stopped in on a Sunday late morning on our way to see Papa Francesco at St. Peter’s Square for the incredible porcehtta sandwiches, made fresh for us by Corinne from porchetta that her family has been making for a hundred years. It’s at the end of the Corso Vittorio Emanuelle and open at 10 am and stays open very late on weekend nights — we asked how late and she said«Until we’re done.» Good to know! These sandwiches were so good that we stopped back at the end of the day for another round to take on our plane flight home. Thanks Likeat — I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Rome!

We were trying to escape the tourist trap restaurants around the Vatican, and we extremely luckily found this fantastic sandwich shop. Their speciality is a sandwich with roast pork(from a whole roasted pig, which they wrap up into this amazing pork meat log and then slice off little pieces). They gave us free samples of the pork, which was very good. My wife ordered a sandwich with pesto, artichokes, tomato, and mozzarella. I had proscuitto with sheep’s cheese and mushrooms. Both were very delicious. They also gave us free crostini they made with mushrooms, really yummy cooked spinach, and cheese. On top of the sandwich awesomeness, they also have a number of great beers, including Westmalle; I had a Paulaner hefeweizen. Strongly recommend!
