L’Insalata Ricca – Pasquino

Looking for a place to get a nice healthy-​hearty salad? Come here. Salads are good size and filling. Bread (1 €) tasted like it was frozen, i.e. No flavor. Solid choice to take a night off from pasta. I posted a picture of the menu as it was not available online. Also, there are several locations around Piazza Navona — the one by Cul De Sac had the best location/​ambiance.

This restaurant is fast, the service is good, and the food is great.
The pizza and salads are good.

Nette Pizzeria etwas abseits der großen Touristenströme. Die hausgemachten Nudeln und die Pizza waren sehr lecker. Preislich war es mit ca. 15 EUR pro Person für Wein, Cola, Wasser, Pizza und Pasta auch in Ordnung. Der Service war etwas unterkühlt. Richtig willkommen gefühlt habe ich mich hier leider nicht.

Had lunch here while taking a stroll down via Regina Margherita because I was starving (no surprise there!) The bruschette misto is really delicious, you get about four different toppings on bread slices, there is one that is a kind of artichoke spread that was my favorite.
Then had a salad which are apparently the place’s specialty, ordered the one with parma ham on top, it was nice but I wish there was a bit more of a dressing to it rather than jus plain olive oil.
Good spot for lunch and really cheap too!

House wine good, excellent salad & pasta, decent prices and wi-​fi. Indoor-​outdoor seating, a few feet off Piazza Navona, but away from the crowds.

A budget gem among the pricier touristy ristorantes around Piazza Navano. Located one block off the tourist bustle (southwest corner of P. Navano) on Piazza di Pasquino, there were a few tightly packed tables for covered outdoor seating on a non-​busy side street.
— € 9 INSALATA STRACCIONA — Stracciona is Italian for «bag lady» — a fitting description for a little of everything in this salad. The strips of beef were tender, flavorful, and plentiful. The arugula, Italian chicory, and mushrooms were fresh and lightly tossed in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. There were perhaps too many giant shavings of parmigiano-​reggiano, which could easily be picked off depending on the desired cheesiness.
— € 8 SPAGHETTI ALLA CARBONARA — Carbonara was must-​try in Roma. The egg and cheese sauce was creamy without being too dense and filling. The pancetta (I think) added wonderful flavor without being overwhelming — just a salty piece or two with each slightly peppery bite. The spaghetti was al dente, naturalmente.
— € 4 HOUSE VINO BIANCO (0.5 L) — Skip it, and order something better, as this was the only bad vino I had in Italia. (And I had a lot of vino.)
Both dishes were amazing, and the experience was wonderful with nice settings, primo outdoor seating, reasonable prices, and good service — completely unexpected for a chain ristorante. With twelve locations throughout Roma, L’Insalata Ricca is a great budget friendly meal for locals and travelers alike.

Wir waren nur zwei Tage in Rom.
Wir hatten eine riesigen Hunger, nachdem wir am 2. Tag das Kollosseum besucht hatten. Bevor wir nun vom Bus zum Pantheon weitergingen, wollten wir schnell was Essen. Am liebsten Italienische Pasta.
Auf der Via del Governo Vecchio wird jeder gewiss fündig.
Wir entschieden uns für die gut besuchte Terasse des Ricca. Nachdem wir bestellt hatten, befielen uns leichte Zweifel ob unserer Auswahl: Lasagne und Spaghetti Carbonara. An den Nebentischen wurden ausschließlich riesige Portionen frischesten Salates verdrückt.
Unsere Bruscetta Pomodoro war gut und groß mit viel frischen würzigen Tomaten belegt.
Die Carbonara waren gelb und al’dente, ein Hauch von Sahne mit Eigelb und Schinken. Aber die Lasagna Leute, die Lasagne mit Fleisch … ach hätten wir davon eine Schüssel die immer weiterkocht!
Dazu ein weisser Hauswein (0,25 l) und ein Erfischungsgetränk für insgesamt 22,50 EUR. Für Rom preiswert.

Molto, molto bene
Je n’ai pas goûté les salades, mais elles ont l’air drôlement bonnes et copieuses. Par contre, j’ai testé pour vous les pâtes qui né sont pas mal non plus! Antipasti sympas et vraiment abordables.
