I came here with a tour group as part of an included dinner. We were given 3 different pizzas: cheese, spinach, and mushroom. A lot of us felt the pizzas were a bit bland. The dessert was okay. It was some sort of vanilla pudding with a raspberry topping. The raspberry topping was a bit too sour for me, but the pudding part was pretty good. The décor was very interesting. It was designed to seem like an underwater cavern or something along those lines. The worst part of the night was the entertainment. They had a singer and piano player. I felt the singer was a bit creepy. He walked up to several ladies, including myself and seemed like he was trying to flirt. It made me super uncomfortable. Then he walked around asking for tips at the end of his performance. I thought it was a little tacky that he counted his tips right in front of us. Plus side, free wifi!

Our Contiki group included dinner in Rome was held at Scoglio di Frisio. They serve typical Roman food. Our pizza was AYCE. It was half magherita and half spinach & mushroom. We had a few vegetarians in our group so we didn’t get any meat toppings. Initially the salad that came out was just iceburg, shredded carrot, and dressing. After a few bites, it didn’t appeal to me. The pizza was never-ending. It was just ok. Having been to Pizzarium, this pizza just did not compare. I ordered a 4 euro glass of red sparkling wine. The panna cotta dessert hit the spot and was probably the best thing they brought out. This place is great for big groups. It has an underwater cave theme which is a little baffling but grows on you. There’s wifi but you have to ask for the password. There’s a gentleman who sings and plays for you while you’re dining. He’s got some interesting eyebrows. His act is pretty lively. He’s sweet and works for tips. It’s a shame I didn’t have coins on hand to give him. He seemed a little down after that. A good place to check out but I’d try something other than the pizza.

We managed to find this place while walking around & decide to give it a go. the place looks like an under water cave, pretty cool décor. they have someone playing the piano as you eat. we had a bottle of white wine with our meal. they start you with bread sticks like many places it seems in europe, no biggie. we had the shrimp cocktail for appetizer, this was really good different from the states in the sense that the sauce was a creamy sauce used for dipping. for main course i had the grilled shrimp in lemon sauce, i must say if it wasnt because it was pretty tasty i would have ran from this dish !! they give u the entire shrimp, head, legs & all… kinda gross to see & it did take me like a few minutes to dig in. i had this with a side salad. my date had the spagetti & clams in lemon sauce, this was very good. for dessert we went with the pineapple cake, this was delicious. despite my food looking like it could jump off my plate & run off, the place was cool, nice service good atmosphere.
