Everything to like. 7 minutes from Termini, 4 minutes from Colosseo, to Garbatella station, then a short 9 minute walk from the station to the doorstep. One of the best restaurants in the city, Il Timoniere, showcased on Anthony Bourdain’s travel show, 2 blocks away. But it’s the stay itself at this lovely B&B that makes it so worthwhile. Martina, the host is very warm and welcoming, and makes sure you’ve everything you need. She’s well travelled and totally fluent in English, with a keen love of the city, so she’s full of tips and insights. The set-up is a small B&B with three rooms, each with a private new bathroom. If bathrooms are important to you, then look no further. The place has been completely refurbished so it’s really clean and bright. There’s a commons room full of happy plants and morning sun for breakfast and to plan the day’s itinerary. A light breakfast is included of bread, cereal, yogurt, tea and coffee. There are lots of small things that shows how much Martina cares and that don’t go unappreciated, e.g. a hairdryer, small reading lamp, maps, chocolates, a set of new towels, etc. I’ll be back. Grazie, Martina.
