Walking by this place looks really nice and out of budget. It wasn’t bad. People should look up cultural norms before complaining about wait staff in a new country. The books say it’s normal for a waiter to leave you alone until you call them over.

Garbage. Took 20 minutes for the waiter to come serve me after I was seated and when he finally did, he gave me a disgusted look when I ordered water. The meal was junk, i suppose the pasta was cooked properly but the sauce reminded me of vomit and was a battle to put down but I was starving and needed to eat. Definitely won’t eat there again; do yourself a favour and go find a hidden gem where the locals eat(the harder to find, the better!)

Walked in the place was packed we got a seat right away. I just wanted a drink and some snacks. I ordered the Cuba Libre and it was good a little watery but good. The waiter was nice just too into the soccer game on screen. He gave us our drinks and mozzarella balls in time. Place was great and chill. Prices not bad for the area. Would not Mind coming back again. Plus the wifi is fast so that’s cuddos points!

Nothing to write home about ! Das Essen war unterdurchschnittlich. Rom bietet besseres.

OH what a tourist trap. We went here because it looked so cool from the outside. On the inside everything was marked up 5x normal prices and wasn’t great. Also, I am pretty sure that the bartender hated his life and it showed in the service… Not going back. Ick

It looks nice from outside so we went in. Ordered a cocktail drink and a beer. The beer came first. Then the cocktail. I had two sips out of the cocktail and half of the drink was gone already. Because most of the drink was ice! What the heck! Food is a little above average.

Service not very attentive, waited 15 minutes for a waiter to come to our table. Menu listed the caprese as tomatoe, mozzarella cheese, and basil. There was no basil and it had oregano sprinkled on the tomatoe. The waiter tried to argue with me that’s he oregano was basil, but I responded back that oregano is not basil, I said basilico, and wanted basil, not oregano. He said wait a moment and never came back until bringing our pasta dishes. Also, the tomatoes were Yellow, green, with slight orange/red color, with little resemblance of any red color that tomato pictures of caprese typically display. Terribly disappointing and bland caprese. The pasta was ok, but not special. The waiters alway seemed to be in a hurry and saying cute little things to the tourists. They never seemed to have any time for the customer at all. I have visited Rome 6 or 7 times during the past 17 years, but I have never encountered such poor service and poor food quality before. My wife and I will not return and advise you avoid this one, also. There are 3 or 4 within 50 –70 meters that are far better.

My husband and I walked into the Bramble as it had a nice patio seating area and interior. The first words spoken to us were, «hi, we’re not serving breakfast.» Perhaps a lot of Americans wander in there at 11:30am looking for breakfast but we were not so that greeting was a bit of a turnoff. We were then told lunch starts at noon, which we were fine with. We asked if we could drink while we waited and we we’re told yes. We asked if we could sit anywhere and was told yes, so we approached a table inside and was then told we couldn’t sit there. We then sit at a four person table and are asked to move to a two person table as sometimes they fill up at lunch. Now mind you we were the only two people there and there were at least 24 tables on the patio. Then we were told we could not order the pizzas or calzones from the menu. At noon she came to take our order and I asked for a mojito and was told I couldn’t have a cocktail until 5pm. That was the final straw. We said thank you and left.

This was only a couple blocks from our hotel and walking by it, we just wanted a place to hang and have some drinks, maybe get a small bite(the inviting look of this place should have already screamed tourist trap). The server sat us down outside(they have heat lamps) and immediately handed us complimentary Presseco(another clue this is a tourist trap because NOTHING is for free in Italy, let alone a drink). SO we proceeded to order a hamburger(I was kind of over pasta’s), sparking water, a house wine, a a whiskey. The sparkling water was flat and filled in an pre-opened bottle. The house wine was rancid(meaning, it had sat out for a couple days and was bad). The hamburger was not seasoned and dry; hubs said it tasted like school lunchfood. The«complimentary» fries and ketchup and mayo that came with my burger — fries were overdone and there was no ketchup or mayo. The whiskey was the worst. It said a complimentary cigar or dark chocolate would come with my hubs whiskey(the waiter seemed surprised when we said we wanted the cigar); the waiter even asked how he wanted his whiskey(with 2 ice cubes please). It came out short in volume of a typical whiskey shot(they super skimped) and the waiter brought out a cup-full of ice. The best part was the«complimentary» cigar. The hubs asked for matches and a cutter and the waiter said they didn’t have any. Excuse me, but do you think people just always carry around a cutter and matches?! So when we asked why we would get a(cheap) cigar and not have the tip cut and no matches, he took the cigar back(and the bartender cut it with a knife, super obvious if you smoke cigars), and brought it back with no matches. The only reason I’m giving this place a 1-Star is for the poor server who had to bus all 8 tables by himself outside and was trying hard to be so nice and do his job, even though it seemed like there were 3 other waiters to help divide the load. In Italy food is pricier than wine, but this place was def doing the«American» thing where food is cheaper than alcohol. So yes, you can spend very little if you don’t order alcohol, but you won’t be getting decent food anyway. Thank you but no thank you.

Good food and service. If you stay in the hostel next door which is also cool. You get even better deals! American breakfast=
