Stopped in for lunch. One of my favorite meals in Italy. Spinach Malfatti was ridiculously good.

One of the most innovative and delicious meals we have ever had. We both choose the tasting menu with wines. The three appetizers on our plate were incredible and gorgeously presented. We next each got two wonderful pastas. Then melt in the mouth beef. All the wines were great and complemented their course.

Excellent lunch spot — great for wine tasting and so far on my trip I have had my best meal. Guinea fowl ravioli, lamb sausage and greens.

One of the most creative meals I’ve had in Italy. I got the prix fix menu and could not have asked for anything better! There wasn’t a thing on the menu that wasn’t superb… And the waist worked very hard…

Our hotel suggested we dine here for our wedding anniversary and I am so happy we did. This was by far the best experience we had dining in Italy. The service here is impeccable. They treat everyone as a valued guest. We opted for the 50 euro per person wine pairing with three courses. Everything we were served was delicious, and we certainly walked away stuffed! If we ever return to Siena(which I hope we do) I will come back!

If you are in Siena, GOHERE. We found out about this place after not being able to get into the very popular, La Taverna Di Giuseppe. We came later in the evening and we still had impeccable service. The place is tucked away and feels like you are in a cozy wine cellar. In fact, the waiter was so kind and let us go down into the cellar to pick out our bottles of wine and take pics, etc. I recommend the gnocchi with spinach and chocolate pasta with boar. Unique experience and fabulous meal. One for the books.

Looking for a place to eat we walked by this restaurant. Very nice ambiance. We let us surprise by the chef. Had a great evening!

I am becoming very strict in Siena. I was here in the past but now I was disappointed and have no reason to return. The pigeon appetizer was full of oil but not of taste. Tagliatelle with duck ragu could be great anywhere in the world but for Siena was just good. The braised beef(they suggested to me as their best plate) was really bad. Meat was burned and covered with a wine un-inspired sauce. French fries that come with it were like fried in the morning and heat it on microwave! Only wine and decoration gave one more star.

The wine was delicious, but the food AND the service was not worth the cost. My hotel recommended it and my boyfriend and I were very excited to celebrate our anniversary there. The owner was a complete ass and was rude to us because we were american even though we have good italian skills. The food was mediocre, i had a better food the next day at a little hosteria. Dont waste your time and money.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel. We were 2 couples traveling through Italy and spent 3 nights nearby. Loved the location in the old city of Siena, and the décor was great. Service was efficient and friendly, and the wine list was amazing. Food was just the right portions, and was well prepared and presented. However for us at least, the flavors were nothing special. None of us walked out thinking it was an amazing meal. A good meal in a great spot, with good service? Absolutely. A GREAT meal food-wise? Not the best for us at least.

Fantastic. We got the beef with peppercorns, the pork, the gazpacho, the ravioli, and the fennel flan. They were all great, but the fennel flan was world class

I’m torn between three and four stars for this review. It may be unfortunate for this restaurant that we had lunch at another Siena restaurant that left a better impression, and the three stars feeling certainly factors in that this was a rather pricey establishment. Nevertheless our group was left a bit underwhelmed. And at the same time, my beef with black pepper cooked in Brunello wine, with oven-baked potatoes was delicious, one of the best dishes I had during a gourmet-frenqied week in Toscana. So that is what gets to flip the review towards four stars.
