I was passing through Sorrento from Naples to Amalfi. As a vegan, I knew I needed to take advantage of a place like Mondo Bio to eat since my choices in smaller coastal towns along Amalfi may be limited. The restaurant is behind a little grocery store section. I arrived before dinner officially started but was able to eat a very satisfying meal from the items available in the deli case. I had a vegan calzone type of dish plus a pleasant plate of warmed veggies. I was also brought some vegan bread which was fantastic with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I picked up a few groceries on my way out, including some vegan candy. Their dinner menu looked really good and hopefully one day I will be able to go back!

An awesome find in Sorrento if you’re vegetarian or vegan! My wife and I came here in September ’14 and sought out Mondo Bio. Great decision! The food is excellent and made fresh. It wasn’t crowded when we went and we sat outside. We started off with the caprese(vegan cheese), then I had the tagliatelle with tofu, while my wife had the gluten-free pasta with pesto. It was all so delicious, and a nice change of pace from the other restaurants in Sorrento. The service was EXCELLENT as well! I highly recommend this place!

Found Mondo Bio Café on Unilocal — read the good review and decided to drop in. Had a delicious gnocchi and glass of wine for 11 euros, and the service was very good. I’m neither vegan or vegetarian so don’t discount this place on that basis. The restaurant has seating indoor and outdoors, which is not at all obvious from the street.

We accidentally stumbled upon Mondo Bio when walking to the train station. Upon first glance it looks just like a small, organic, vegetarian grocery store, but upon closer examination you’ll see that there’s actually a little restaurant/café in the back that serves yummy vegetarian and vegan food! They serve all three meals and even dessert(which I would highly recommend). The gnocchi was delicious as was the chocolate soufflé and the strawberry sorbet. I would definitely return. They also have options available at the counter if you need to grab something and go. The restaurant also has outdoor seating and a really nice staff. Wish there were more places in Italy like this!
