Trattoria da Emilia

Well, let me start by saying this was my absolute favorite spot here in Italy. The first night we came the wait and service was horrible because there was some type of feast going on HOWEVER it was well worth the wait! I mean, I have never ever tasted good this good in my life. Everything from the pasta, seafood, cheese, sauce was just out of this world.
You know when your at home, hungry and you think what you want to eat– well, I always think of this place and what a shame because there’s nothing even close to this in New York. It’s grown fresh– family owned and they are doing it the right way. The sea food is just to die for. I mean amazing food, great location\ view. Right off the water! What more can you ask for? We went there two times, we only stayed for a few days! I wish we would of came here everyday. Out of all the places in the world– I would want to come back here just for Emilia!!!

Un restaurant populaire, même s’il on y croise de nombreux touristes comme partout à Sorrente, la cuisine est simple mais les produits sont frais, les assiettes sont copieuses, et le service est correct bien qu’assez rapide. Si vous recherchez un endroit simple et moins touristique que le reste des restaurants de la ville vous serez satisfait. Les prix sont tout à fait correct (25 € pour deux assiettes avec des fruits de mer, 50cl de vin et un plat de pâtes).

A beautiful, casual little family-​run trattoria down by the port in Sorrento. You can sit inside or pop across the street to grab a check-​clothed table perched on a wooden deck overlooking the sea. Beware if the waves are strong and you’re by the edge, cos you’ll get splashed, it’s just that close!
Fabulous food, friendly service and, if you’re lucky, you might even merit a Buena sera from Emilia herself. All the advantages of Mediterranean outdoor dining — warm, summer nights, a pleasant sea breeze and the occasional serenading band. We went back again for our last night dinner it was so good.
