This place is truly amazing. Went here after a day spent swimming in Mediterranean and super hungry and this place hit the spot just right.
We ordered fish croquettes to start with and they were great. Yummy flavor and texture. Bread in the basket was super fresh and just perfectly crunchy.
For main dishes I ordered the fish lasagna (omg the best lasagna I have ever eaten in my whole life). Order it! It is life changing. Think you know what a lasagna should taste like? No you don’t until you eat this. Wow. Mind blown.
My bf had the house gnocchi which can had a tasty sauce and great texture. For seconds he ordered the fish of the day. Tip: get it whole, don’t get a filet. The whole fish has all the flavors in it and the crunchy skin and tail and cheeks. Insanely tasty. And you get to eat a whole fish. With head and all. It tasted heavenly. Get the fish!
Plus the house wine was amazing too and went perfectly with our fishy dishes. Prices are affordable and food is out of this world. The whole time we were there we were the only tourists everyone else was Italian.
I would return here in a heartbeat and suggest this place to anyone who wants to try authentic Amazing Italian food in Trieste. What a find!!!
