Art Hotel

This beautifully restored mansion in the heart of Verese puts you at the center of the Lakes region in northern Italy.
Dozens of uniquely laid out rooms are chock full of beautiful art. The expansive grounds that the hotel is set on it lovely for a quiet retreat from the busy lakes area. Free WiFi, comfortable beds and spacious rooms make it a standard headquarters for this beautiful region, but the lovingly restored architecture and art set it further apart as a truly unique place to stay.
Best of all, the hotel is very pet friendly, which makes it a great location to bring your furry friend. In fact, the owners have their own friendly Australian Shepherd patrolling the grounds.
The location is very central, but be aware it takes quite a while to make it to the shores of the most famous lakes. It takes about an hour to get to Stresa on Lago Maggiore and 45 minutes to Como.
Perfect location if you’re looking to explore the region, but the distance to any single shore means don’t expect to have a lakeside view.

Beautiful small hotel, very stylish and well run. Just a couple of blocks to the pedestrian area of Varese, yet far enough away so it feels tranquil. Pretty grounds (even has a few tortoises in the back). Excellent restaurant that locals frequent, with a changing menu that reflects the seasons.
This is not a sterile cookie-​cutter chain hotel. It is a nice intro to Italian style hotels without it being too rustic. no pool though.
