Honestly came here because of the 4 – 5 star reviews on Unilocal. What attracted me was the free wifi and the 1.50 eur«hot wine.» The lady was really nice to our surprise, she even let us try a sip of «hot wine» before we purchased. We got two slices of pizza and two cups of wine for 9 eur! Not a bad price, especially knowing that the pizza is made fresh as the kitchen is right next to the eating area. You can even spot the pizza makers inside. Unfortunately, the pizza didn’t impress me. Dough was good and chewy, didn’t have a yeast taste at all. But the cheese was a little hard and plastic– textured. The hot wine was great, tho! Especially bc it was so cold in Venice. The wine had a cinnamon and fruit mixed in. But be careful! It’s piping hot and comes in a plastic cup!

First things first. This is Italian pizza done in Italian-American style. It is still very delicious because Italian cheese is so much better than american. I had their 4 cheese pizza and would definitely recommend it. 2 slices were 6 Euro and I left quite filled. If you are looking for a more authentic Neapolitan Italian style pizza in Venice(difficult to find) I’d recommend exploring the Rossopomodoro menu.

AMAZING pizza. We went here and tried the mushroom and sausage thick pizza and the thin pepperoni. Both were truly divine and I am still dreaming of them back home in London. I’d highly recommend stopping here for lunch if you’re in Venice — although it’s a stand and eat situation — there are no tables.

It wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had, like I’ve read in other reviews, but it was very good. I give it five stars because it was convenient, fresh, decently price, and the service was great. It was a bit hard to find, but then again, most things are hard to find in Venice. The staff was super friendly and spoke English.

I would rate this higher than a 5 if I could, it exceeded my expectations in ever way. Food: the best pizza i’ve had EVER, coming from someone who is not a big fan of pizza. Thick is the way to go here, we personally liked the margherita best but you cant go wrong with anything. Staff: extremely friendly, fast, and accommodating. Gave us water free of charge, and a deal on the wine in the cute souvenir bottles. Price: extremely cheap/reasonable! Needless to say. We came back for more the next day :)

It’s okay — I went expecting something incredible because everyone says it’s the best in Venice. It was good, but certainly not on my list of best pizza. The guy re-heated the slice that I chose and it felt and tasted very much like leftover pizza reheated at home. I’m sure fresh out of the oven these are probably delicious, but that isn’t how the place works. The prices are decent and the slices are pretty big. I haven’t found great pizza in Venice yet, and I know Venice doesn’t have a reputation for pizza like Naples or Rome. This was better than other pizza I’ve had in Venice, but I still expected better.

The best and only pizza I had in Venice. I would highly recommend this place. We got the mushroom and pepperoni thick pizza. It was AMAZING. The slice was huge and thick. Very crispy. They stick it into the oven after you order so it comes out nice and crispy. We also ordered a thin slice of pepperoni pizza which was not as good. Thick is the way to go here. There is also free wifi.

For the price, quantity, and taste, Antico Forno is not just the best pizza in Venice — — it is the best I had in all of Italy. Each slice of pizza is about 3 – 5 eu. When we arrived, we were blown away by the display and variety. My girlfriend chose a deep dish, which reminded me a lot of chicago’s deep dish pizza. This was delicious and would be my recommendation. I ordered a thin slice of tuna pizza because I had never seen a tuna pizza before. This was not as satisfying as the thick slice, but the flavor and taste was unique and delicious. While this is not a sit down restaurant, this makes for a terrific lunch spot.

Best pizza I had while in Italy. Small place, pizza by the slice, have to eat standing up so worth it. You go in there’s a lot of pizzas to choose from you tell the guy who was very friendly which ones and the number of slices. He throws them in the oven maybe takes 2 – 3 minutes to heat up. Crispy, delicious, awesome Pizza when in Venice got to hit this spot.

Pizza is so good! I counted 20 types of fresh pizza displayed. New pizzas came out of the oven about every 5 minutes!

Unbelievably delicious pizza near the Rialto bridge. it’s really cheap for the location, and costs 3 euro per slice. We came back the next day and indulged ourselves. We had the spicy vegetarian and the marinara pizza. We absolutely loved the thick slices, which were so perfect!

Amazing pizza in Venice! It is located near the Rialto Bridge on a busy street. You will know you’ve found it since it is the only pizza place with a line outside the door. Service is brisk since everyone is vying for the server’s attention. Crust was crackly and great just from the oven.

Randomly located pizzerias are the best. This came recommend from Conde Baste Traveler. So glad we happened to walk past it on our leisurely walk through Venice. There were people crowded around the counter so we knew immediately it would be worth the wait. We tried a slice with tomatoes, broccoli rabe, and sweet sausage. It was perfectly crunchy on the bottom and gooey on top. I’ll have another slice please.

Unilocalers you have let me down. This rarely happens, but this was the worst calzone I’ve ever had. Cheese still in cubes– cold sauce, cheap quality mushrooms, and wayyy to much ham. Bleh.

Antico Forno is across the Rialto bridge in San Polo, the residential part of Venice where the locals live and eat. The thin pizza was as good, if not better, than any pizza I have ever had including the pizza I had earlier in the day in San Marco. I will admit that I accidentally offended the guy working behind the counter by not greeting him before pointing out which pizza I wanted. I was probably just very anxious about ordering. Anyway, that dude was PISSED! He even let me know it in English. I apologized sincerely but he claimed he was used to it. Just saying, go in there and don’t be shy. This place is worth the hunt.

:-) was soll ich sagen?

Best Pizza in Venice for sure, possibly in Italy. Now of course I am just one person with some opinions, but if your looking for cheap, fresh, and very tasteful Pizza, then this is the place. My favorite was the salami and mushroom. Add some chili powder and bam, your pizza is set. You can even get a bottle of red or white wine to go for about € 4-€ 5 euros. They give you cups and uncork it so your all set. Pizza when I was there on 4÷4÷2015 was € 2.00 euro for a thin slice and € 3.00 euro for a thick/stuffed slice. Again, great pizza place

Another win for the Unilocal crystal ball, my Unilocalers never let me down. I was looking for some good pizza on the go and had to stop by for a few slices. It’s not easy to find in the mazes of Venice but it’s worth jumping over a canal if you need to. For 2,50 € a slice for the thin and 3,90 € for the thick, you can tack on a drink for another 2 €. Either way it’s the lowest price you’ll pay for the best pizza of your life. There isn’t a «best» set of toppings, just order them all! I have three types and loved them all. Every bite melts on your tongue with flavor. After all of the pizza I have had in my life I never expected to find a new standard for taste. Get lost, have fun and find this place using the map in the photos area. It’s found easier coming from Rialto and looking for Calle Paradiso.

Great place for a quick slice(or two!) with a cold beer! Each slice is about € 2.50 and a large Peroni is € 4. In Venice(and actually most of Italy!) this is a great deal. The pizza is very tasty but make sure you ask for it to be extra hot so that it really heats throughout and gets nice and crispy(for the thin one, we didn’t try the thick one). Note this isn’t a restaurant but rather a window counter with some places to stand and enjoy inside. Highly recommended for either lunch or a cheap and cheerful dinner!

My friend and I stumbled across this place while aimlessly wandering in Venice and the first thing that caught our eyes were the huge, thick slices of pizza by the window. Never have I ever saw any pizza that looked almost like. a slice of cake. Thick slices were 3.9 euro and a regular thin slice is about 2.5 euro(for margherita) or 2.9(for other toppings). I got a thick one with mushroom and prosciutto and it was good. They warm it up right in front of you in their oven before they serve it. Why I don’t give this place 5 stars is because there isn’t anything that stands out about this place besides the thickness of pizza they offer. They have all your standard toppings including a plain cheese pizza, but nothing amazing. If you really are craving pizza(there are more dishes out there to try!) and nothing else, do come here and get your moneys worth.
