We happened upon this little shop while visiting Dorsoduro. The beautiful pendants in the window caught our eyes, and we will be forever grateful that we went inside. Giorgio took the time to tell us about the construction of the piece we purchased — and explained that, while the piece itself was very sturdy, the glass ring holding it to the chain might break. If that were to happen, he said we should return it to him for repair — free! Our son(travelling with us for his 20th birthday) has long had an interest in hobby lampwork, and started peppering Giorgio with questions. Giorgio was graciousness itself, explaining the difference between soft and boro glass, suggesting equipment, referring us to US artists and schools, and then demonstrating the first piece he learned to make — a snail. Then, he invited our son to sit at the torch for a lesson!!! Needless to say, this was the highlight of our visit to Italy. We cannot thank Giorgio enough for the time he took from his busy day to share his passion for glassmaking with a young man from the US.

Hervorragender Glasbläser, der kreativ die Moderne und die Tradition zusammenbringt. Da gibt es kein Schnickschnack und Kitsch, sondern Kunsthandwerk at its best
