Hotel Continental

I actually really liked this hotel. The location is not far from the buses and a 20 – 25 min walk to the main square in Venice. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The rooms were a good size and had wifi in the rooms. The breakfast was ok… But it was free so can’t complain. Watch out for the pigeons at breakfast!!! Don’t leave your breakfast unattended

I really like this hotel, it got everything. Convenient location, quality breakfast, good service and many details that I enjoyed! Like, they keep towels on heater so it’s warm and dry, room service makes bed nicely, even spray some scent so it smells good Shen I came back. Oh, I forgot to bring charger adapter, they lend me one for free. And they have free wifi! There are little noise outside since it’s on street, but I can barely notice it coz dead tired from walking around every day! Just a little reminder, somehow the light can still bother me with the window closed, so i have to wear eye musk to fall asleep. If you are sensitive to light too, just FYI.

There are LOTS of hotel options in Venice. We wanted to stay close to the main part of Venice but did not want to be right next to Saint Marks Square. Given our tight schedule, staying on the backside of the islands and closer to the train station seemed like a good idea.
The Hotel Continental is very convenient to the Venice San Lucia station and reasonably priced. It is literally no more than a 5 minute walk to the train station. We arrived early in the morning, walked to the hotel and dropped off our luggage and then began exploring Venice (on foot is the best way).
When we checked out, they held on to our luggage until the end of the day so that we could continue to explore. We stopped off to pick up our luggage and then a quick 5 minute walk to our train.
We got a slightly larger room with a view of the canal. The room was and very spacious for a European hotel; people from the US are spoiled by large hotel rooms. The room was great except that there is always a catch with outside hotel rooms in cities like Venice and that is the noise. The canal is busy until late at night and wakes up at day break with water-​taxis, boat-​buses and cargo boats.
The staff was nice and professional. The hotel is convenient to water taxis and water buses. The hotel does provide free WiFi but they provide it only for a limited number of hours and that is a bit inconvenient.
Also, our bathroom only had a tub with now shower curtain, so using the shower nozzle meant getting the bathroom floor wet.
I would definitely recommend the Hotel Continental and will stay there again.

Très bien situé
Nous avions choisi cet hôtel car il se trouve tout près de la gare. Par contre, il est loin de la place où l’on peut prendre le bus pour aller à l’aéroport. Le lobby de l’hôtel est assez joli. Malheureusement, les personnes de l’accueil né sont pas souriantes et vous avez l’impression de les déranger. Sinon, la rue est très passante, donc il y a pas mal de bruit.
