Missing this awesome eatery! The awesome food abdomen the great atmosphere of the place and the quiet street it is on! Best Kept Local SECRET!

Second time back and both the service and the food quality was consistently excellent. Our party of 5 got the Mussels and clam soup, the 4 seasons pizza(similar to previous night) and the pasta with clams and mussels. Being mostly used to the green mussels from New Zealand, the local mussels were a revelation and tasted earthy and salty. I loved the olive and balsamic given for use with the bread, too. For dessert, we got Tiramisu, and we also got Crema Catalana which was just excellent.

How to find a great restaurant while wandering through a foreign city: 1. Lose your way. 2. Stop a grandmotherly lady with a grocery cart in the plaza. 3. Ask her to show you on a map where you are. She shows you and says, where are you trying to go? You say in your limited Italian, I don’t know; we’re hungry. 4. She brightens and says, there’s a good place just two minutes away(pointing in the general direction), called ‘Do Marie.‘ When you can’t read the menu(it’s only in Italian), just accept the waiter’s suggestions. I can’t remember the name of the dish, but it was spaghetti for two with clams and mussels. Best meal in Venice. Molto buono!
