Today my family and I came to Venice for a vacation and after getting to our hotel we decide to have lunch. Walking around Venice was pretty cool seeing all the boats go by. But after my experience with this restarant I was above satisfied. Once in Quanto Basta you can see the variety of meals to have even with gelato right across from it. All the staff members were well behaved and there wasn’t any arguing. They also have a variety of seas not just inside, but outside as well. I also think I saw some tv’s in the outside seating in the back. I could suggest that they allow people to watch on it. I would suggest that people should go to Quanto Basta because of all of the reason that were explained.

ONELASTGELATOFORTHEROAD We’d lost track of how many times we had boarded the Vaporetto on the Canal Grande. To truly see Venezia there is no substitute other than to walk it. Unfortunately, this city kingdom on water was built long before America and ADA. So our plan was to explore the northeast«Jewish Ghetto» and northern streets of Venezia. Stayed on the same shoreline as the Stazione FS Santa Lucia(train station) and walked towards Ponte di Rialto. If you stay on main path you will come across plenty of most picturesque campos(squares), ponte(bridges), sidewalk restaurants and curiods. Concentration of economy hotels and the train station attributes for a younger crowd. In case you really miss Chinese food, there are two of them on this side of town. Even though we are much further north of Athens, the intensity of the sun and humidity hasn’t left us. Time for one more gelato before heading back to the Nieuw Amsterdam. Under the protection of a green awning, Quanto Basta’s window display of gelato flavors and colors were too much to resist. Nutella, Violeta, Cookies and Cream were eye catchers. And of course they also carried the popular flavors of pistachio and dark chocolate. One healthy scoop of the super creamy tasting Nutella and a very fragrant Violetta in a waffle cone for just € 3,50. It just so happens that we believe Quanto Basta delivers the richest and most flavorable gelatos, compared to the others we had tasted while in Venezia. Not an exact science, but creaminess, consistency, bouquet and flavor do count. The young lady behind the gelato counter happened to be ethnic Chinese and spoke prego Italian and English without an accent of any kind. Her command of Italiano was definitely better than ours. Lol

This spot was awesome not only because they were 100 feet from our hotel but bc they had good pizza simple yet very flavorful and they had more than just pizza, like gelato kabobs sandwiches and creps and the list goes on! Good selection of beers to go with your food and they stay open late for you late night munchers

Awesome!!! Great food at a low price. Quality and Quantity at a low price. Great place to chill and relax. The place provides lot of variety and at a great low price. You can buy crepes, pizza, donner kaboob, gelato, cappuccino etc. We had Banana Chocolate Crepes with cappuccino and they were splendid and very enjoyable. The only thing is its a small place and gets quite packed to seating might be hard to find.

We found this café near our hotel… happened to swing by for a quick gelato. My husband ordered the pistachio flavor for only 1.5 euros, so cheap!

We dropped by Quanto Basta to grab pizza for lunch. It is located very close to the Santa Lucia station. I don’t remember what pasta we ordered, it was a vegetarian pizza with spinach and cheese. It was so-so, nothing great about this place. They had other kebab options as well, but we didn’t try any of those.

Great place for gelato and pizza. They also have a nice mozzarella and prosciutto monte cristo type sandwich that is delicious and rich. Affordable. Close to train station.
