Good and affordable pizza/pasta closr to San Marco Square. Had a pizza for two, water, 1 beer, 1 campari and orange plus one glass of wine for around 30 Euros. Would recommend to anyone for lunchtime.

Cover charge is only € 2 pp. Pizza is the best in Venice. Drips cheese juice like a true Neapolitan Pizza! The Capricciosa pizza is only € 10.50 and is more than filling. A close second is the Lasagnella at € 12. Either way, you won’t find a more genuine pizza joint in Venice… even if it is bustling with tourists.

I got a marinara pizza and a proseco. I was looking for some Italian pizza, and I got it! I am vegan so it was exciting to see something vegan on the menu that I didn’t have to customize. The pizza was soooo goooood! The crust was just soft and chewy enough. The red sauce was perfect, and there was a perfect ration of basil and garlic. This place is also in a great location, right by the San Marco square. I watched the sunset in the square and then wandered down to rossopomodoro for food and drink. This could be the best night of my life. Ps they also have free wifi

The pizza here is great. I stopped in with 2 of my co-workers and we ordered 3 pizzas and a salad. Everything was delicious and fresh. We were not disappointed. The diavola was my favorite out of the 3 we ordered.(I’m not really a fan of pizza with no red sauce though). I would recommend this place. It’s quick and easy and really reasonably priced.

Super cool atmosphere! Loved the Halloween decorations and the pop music. We went on a Friday around 8pm, and there was no wait for our table, and people were still coming in to eat around 10pm when we left. In addition to their extensive normal menu, they had a special Halloween pizza with pumpkin. I had the Capricciosa pizza(good, but I think I would have preferred a different pizza because I’m not a huge fan of green olives) and the Calde Calde for dessert. With the cover charge and my water, I only paid around 20 euros for my meal. Overall, for the atmosphere and the delicious food, I think it was a good deal and a cool place to hang out on a Friday night!

Food was decent, prices were decent, but portions were big and the atmosphere was nice. Overall an average experience. The pasta was unsatisfactory, but the pizza and wine were fantastic. So 2⁄3 on the food quality. The pizza tastes very fresh and this is obviously their specialty so i’d recommend trying this and not taking the risk on other options. The whole staff seemed super friendly and nice except for our waitress. She was somewhat difficult to deal with, but meanwhile all of the rest of the staff were super friendly and painting each other’s faces for Halloween! I’d still recommend this place because even though by my standards it isn’t great, it beats the other nightmare experiences we’ve had nearby in Venice so far! Kind of a best-of-the-worst type situation.

the house-made red sauce is really good. i smothered my food with it… sooo good. the price is really reasonable. not 5 stars because there is no separation for the outdoor seating, so all the cigarette smoke comes inside the restaurant.

The pizza here was good, but the star of the show for me was their linguini with an anchovies and lemon sauce. It was so delicious. The pizza we ordered had mozzarella, tomato sauce, basil, and olive oil. It was tasty, but a bit too saucy(you definitely have to eat your pizza with a fork and knife). I think we came at a good time, because once we sat down, there was a line that formed! Definitely a popular spot.

After a ton of research, Rosopomodoro looked like one of the top pizza spots in Venice. As such, we stopped by for lunch to see what the fuss is about. While there is a sit-down area, I opted for the take-out option and selected an already-baked slice of pizza. These looked delicious on display, but it definitely looked better than it tasted. Granted, I tried this after Antico Forno(the best pizza I had in Italy), but even had I had this first, I would’ve still probably considered this slightly above average in Italy.

It is good pizza. I haven’t had pizza in Rome or Naples where I hear the pizza is phenomenal, so I can only compare to the states. It’s better than a normal pizza joint, but I don’t think it’s better than Golden Boy in SF per say. I had the diavla with spicy marinara sauce. It wasn’t spicy at all. We ordered a basket of fritters, can’t really name all of the things in it, because I simply don’t know what it is composed of, some were yummy some were simply weird. Not the mozzarella sticks I was expecting of. It’s a nice little restaurant for food and very close to the San Marco Square. My dad had the pasta and it was very good. I forgot the name though sorry. I would say don’t get the lasagna. It looked very dry. And tasted dry and not much flavor. Stick to the pizza or pasta.

I had their pasta special with swordfish, tomatoes, and olives the other night and it was quite good. Not something I’d find in the States but not something that tastes as if it was made to cater the typical tourist either. Price was 16 € for a plate so still a little pricey but its near Saint Marcus’ square so what can you do. The place is also verrrrrry big. If you have a big group and are looking for a place than can seat everyone in a room– they have an upstairs room just for your needs.

We came here on two occasions during our trip to Venice. It’s definitely not any indication of an Italian dining experience(having gone to Rome & Florence), as it’s quite casual, but they have some standard dishes for reasonable prices by Venice standards. The service is a hit or miss. The first time we came, we had the blond girl with the large frame glasses. She’s not very attentive and we didn’t even get plates when given our bread. The second time we came we had a different waitress who was a lot more attentive. The pasta dishes were very good. We also had their margherita pizza, delicious. The restaurant shares bathroom facilities with 2 other establishments, which was interesting. Overall a worthwhile sit down place.

I just finished my meal. Food Average, customer service horrible. My server was the best silent waiter in the world, rude and the worst communicator ever. Also they charge you service already due bad service. So check for restaurants that say No cover charges. If my server goes to Cali one day, I will give him a crash course of how to treat people.

The girlfriend and I arrived in Venice around an hour and a half after leaving the airport, courtesy of the Alilaguna water bus giving us seemingly a tour of the entire lagoon prior to dropping us off at our stop We had a lovely dinner booked at Corte Sconta and so we wanted only a bite for lunch. Determined not to shame myself and my Unilocal good food credibility(hehe), we had a good wander round the little alleyways surrounding St Mark’s Square, running the Brick Lane-esque gauntlet of waiters trying to persuade you into their restaurant We happened upon the takeaway section of Rossopomodoro. Probably from a Pavlovian response of associating takeaway pizza with horrendously long shifts as a junior doctor, I tend to shy away from pizza as a food choice. However, these did look delicious, they were cheap and small in portion and while in Rome/Venice, I suppose one should do as the locals do. So, we ordered the best looking slice and the server chucked it into the oven to warm up Well, my view on pizza has changed. Super crispy base, almost bruschetta like with a slight spongy rise. Topped with milky chunks of just melted mozzarella, sweet sweet cherry tomatoes and healthy sprinkle of basil Molte bene! And all for three Euros

4 stars is not for the restaurant. It’s for the small section it has for take out pizza. ordered: *ham and mushroom pizza slice– ehh it was decent. about 2.5−3 stars. *sausage pizza slice– it’s bomb diggity! my husband and i stayed in venice 2 days and had Rossopomodoro 4 times!!! the sausage pizza is very tasty and this is coming from someone who does not eat pizza. it’s nothing like pizza in the USA. the pizza was thin and not heavy on the sauces or cheese. there was an even amount of distribution of the sausage. the smell does not make me want to gag like how it does in the states. *hot dog — don’t get it. it’s nothing special. it’s a waste of 3 euro. tips: *cash — 3 euro per slice *eat standing up to save money. *limited standing tables. *staff speaks limited english. *they sell drinks(water, soda, etc.) i would totally recommend anyone coming to venice to try this spot out. everything is made fresh and even if you come and the pizza is already out they heat it up for you so it’ll warm and it still tastes fresh. 2 thumbs up. restaurant: 2 stars!!! came here to do a take out since the take out section was closed. we tried asking the staff questions since we wanted to order something similar to the sausage pizza slice from the take out side but the staff didn’t even let us finish our sentence. all she said was they don’t make the same pizza. so we settled for a different type of pizza that they had and they totally rushed it. none of the toppings stayed put. it was soggy and fell out as we picked up the slices. don’t come close to closing time! 10 euros for a box of pizza. not worth it! tip: *close at 11:30pm

Absolutely the best pizza we had in all of Italy! They made it all in the front of the house, you can see them making it all. The napoleon style crust, the basil margarita style pizza with REAL mozzarella cheese and REAL tomatoes and REAL basil(not like most«fake» pizzas in america). The dough was so fresh, soft, flavorful, the ingredients soooo delicious. OMG I am still dreaming of the pizza we had here. Delicious, affordable, awesome ambiance, VERY popular among locals which is a very good sign! We did come here on another night for just cappuccino and taramisu. Both did not disappoint. soooooo goooooood! A must visit when in Venice!

Pizza night in Venice. Nonno(grandpa) recommended a restaurant to us, and we mixed up the name and came here instead. ha We were greeted at the door and followed past a pizza bar that had a burning pizza oven and two pizza men making their creations with a smile and good time. We walked by many little tables, and sat by an old brick wall. There are 3 rooms in this restaurant, one is upstairs for events or large parties. Seems like tourists eat here, not many locals. The table beside us of two American women didn’t get the right change back, and the waiter fight with them until he got out a calculator and then agreed. We ordered a glass of house wine, a prosciutto pizza, and a grilled chicken, prosciutto, olive, parmesan arugula salad. They brought out a tiny bit of bread along with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The pizza was ok, nothing special. On the smaller side, and not much flavor. The salad was a good size but not that much chicken, I expect everything smaller portions in Italy, I shared some with my husband. Decent prices for being in Venice, fresh food, and close to San Marco Square and main Boat Taxi stop. — Watch your Bill and Change
