This place is fantastic. It looked somewhat imposing when we peered in the door (opening hours are 7:30pm, not 6:30), but the proprietor was very friendly and welcoming. We started with complimentary prosecco and were presented menus in Italian, and then a menu in English.
We ordered the eggplant appetizer and it was the quintessential version of eggplant parmagiana. But the piece de resistance was really the risotto di amarone (red wine risotto) — I think it’s the best risotto we’ve ever had. Topped with Monte Veronese cheese, it’s really a local specialty. We each had a serving of risotto and then split an order of grilled meat and side of vegetable contorni. The meat was overflowing the plate — so much delicious beef, veal, turkey and pork grilled to perfection we couldn’t eat it all.
Finished off the meal with fresh strawberries. I really don’t think this place is that expensive — we had a lot of food and a bottle of nice wine and the bill was € 104 total. Best meal on our trip in Italy thus far!

Il Cenacolo c’est une restaurant relativement «classe» et définitivement spacieux !
Ambiance romantique comme familiale possible, le restaurant est polyvalent et il propose une carte alléchante à des tarifs intéressants.
Le service est professionnel (trop?), les conseils justes.
J’ai dégusté des plats succulents !

Excellent restaurant et rapport qualité/​prix très appréciable, en particulier grâce au menu à 35 euros. Belle carte des vins, avec des coefs prix sur table qui comme d’habitude en Italie, laissent rêveur quand on vient de France (Foradori sur table 25 euros!). Les quantités sont assez énormes, je n’avais déjà plus faim après les antipastis, et il me restait encore un risotto, une chèvre rôtie, et un tiramisu à engloutir ! Tous les plats étaient merveilleux, avec une mention spéciale à la spécialité de la maison, le risotto à l’Amarone, excellent.
Réservation conseillée car le resto se remplit vite.

The food is delicious and beautiful. The ambiance is quiet, classy, with a very pretty stone grill in the center of the room. The staff was very kind, and did not shame me for not speaking much Italian. I will be coming back.

Magnifique. Salle très agréable avec larges tables et suffisamment d’espace pour né pas subir les conversations des voisins. Question assiette, rien à redire: mentions notamment pour le prosciutto montagnana (province de Padoue), la tagliata de manzo et les tortellini au beurre de sauge. Question vins: le serveur à été d’un excellent conseil, avec des suggestions et explications passionnantes. L’addition est plus que raisonnable eu égard à la qualité du dîner. Allez-​y (pas Jean) et revenez-​y.

You will do yourself a dis-​service not going here. The restaurant is not easy to find… definitely off the beaten path (but not too far). It’s beautifully set up. We were greeted immediately by several people and able to select our table. We were further greeted with a couple glasses of proseco. From there my Italian gave out and the wait staffs English came in… in a very friendly way. I relied on him to suggest a wine, which was very good so I then followed his recommendation for dinner… also very good. The food portions are sizable, so if you are not a big eater, you may want to share the appetizer and opt for a better bottle of wine ;). There’s no rushing you here; it’s a great experience and won’t break the bank. My husband and I had a great night here for just 86 euro.

I’ve eaten a lot of delicious meals in Italy, as is easy to do. But I was blown away by this restaurant, just off the beaten path in Verona. One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Italy — including the food itself and the professional and warm, friendly service.
We arrived to town by train, a bit late for lunch. Nevertheless, they offered to serve us. We ate outside on a quiet side street off of the main square. We started with the Mozzarella di bufala in crosta di pane con pomodorini al basilico e peperoni which was excellent. The mozzarella was slightly warm and contrasted nicely with the cool tomatoes. Next was the pasta — Maccheroncini with fiori di zucchine and pancetta crocante. This too was a beautiful blend of smooth, creamy flavors and textures and salty, crunchy ones. We finished with the mixed grilled meats as a secondo. This was a perfect compromise since we could not agree on any one meat dish. I really can’t be sure what all the different meats were, but the ones I sampled were all delicious — this is clearly a specialty of theirs. Our final coffees (espresso) arrived with house made cookies on the side.
A quick note, the portions were large. In order to sample more items, my husband and I shared one order each of the appetizer, first course and second course. I’m sure I couldn’t have eaten ever two courses alone given the generous portion size.
The servers were very professional and attentive. They were there when you needed them and did not hover. I will also add that we were traveling with a one year old so meals out can be a challenge. The servers were over-​the-​top warm and interacted with our son making us feel welcome and at ease.
We will definitely return to this lovely restaurant, highly recommend!
