Osteria La Poiana

Our host coined this place the best restaurant in the vicinity — talk about raising expectations! The restaurant sits in a old country style villa with a lovely garden that serves as the parking. They have several relatively small rooms to sit in giving some privacy and making the place comparably calm for an Italian ristorante :) It’s pricier than most other restaurants I’ve been to in the area, but they serve high quality food only. My first course was a fresh home made pasta which was great, followed by the entrecôte which was a little too raw for my taste, even though i ordered it medium. Finally found a place that had tiramisu on their menu, so there was no doubt on what our dessert would be! It was tasty and fresh made but coulnd’t hold up to the one my wife makes for us every now and then. Service was a little slow but good given that it was a fairly busy night. Also, they were able to provide us with a high chair which is helpful when you bring the little one along for dinner.
