Great little place that was open on New Year’s Day morning. Not a whole lot was open, and we had gone by our usual haunts for that morning espresso without any luck. Saw that this place(with a gigantic«Bar» and little«Pasticceria» sign) was open and thought we’d give it a try. We didn’t notice any hair-of-the-dog patrons working off their hangovers, and the patrons all seemed to know each other pretty well and were enjoying the quintessential Italian breakfast we know and love as a caffe and brioche. We were definitely the oddball Americans, which is fine with us. Seating along the wall is ‘cozy’ and the family of baristas friendly, with the older generation actively tending the register and welcoming customers. Our caffe was good, and we enjoyed relaxing while people-watching. Nice place to chill.
