Richmond Hotel

Very nice and the most beautiful views of the temple and sky tree. Quiet, clean, and relaxing. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great central hotel location.

I am happy to be staying at the Richmond Hotel for my stay in Tokyo. The rooms are pretty small, but the amenities are good and the staff at the front desk is great. The hotel is in the same building as a 24 hour discount/​convenience store (Don Quijote) which is super convenient for the jet lagged traveler, awake at random hours and craving snacks or needing a new pair of underwear because United Airlines lost your suitcase.
Anyway, I love that the hotel has complimentary WiFi (hard to find in Tokyo), they provide soaps and shampoo and even toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors and Q-​tips, and the toilet of course had a heated seat. The shower was easy to figure out and had a tall shower head for us tall folks. The tub had high sides if you want a really good soak and the water goes up to super hot.
This hotel is close to the Suidobadhi and Kasuga stops. It’s near a post office and a police box and a lost and found. It is across the street from the Tokyo Dome and it has a restaurant on the third floor. Microwave and laundry machines are available on the eighth floor.
Some front desk staff speak a little English but not all. They were very helpful to me on my trip and were able to send an international fax for me for cheap and helped me when my luggage was finally delivered to the hotel. I would be happy to stay here again and would recommend it to other travelers.
