Stayed at the Metropolitan Marunouchi a couple of times. The bar serves a nice breakfast buffet but is even better at night. It is a great place to wind down and treat jet lag with a nice drink. Once you find it(and it is not easy) you will return.

This review is for breakfast at Dining & Bar TENQOO, located at Hotel Metropolitan Marunouchi I’m only in Tokyo for less than 24 hours — basically get in, meetings with clients and then off to the next city. TENQOO is on the 27th floor on the Hotel Metropolitan Marunouchi side of the Sapia Tower. Good luck trying to find the hotel on any of the JR maps. This place opens for breakfast at 6:30am and though I thought I was going to be a door buster, there were already many people lining up. The sky starts to light up around 4am this time of year so no wonder for all the early birds. There’s a decent selection of western breakfast items as well as the Japanese. I noticed that the Japanese/Asians chose the western side — I ate from both sides while my boss watched and waited. Best things were the croissants and chocolate croissants. The scrambled eggs had an unnatural Kraft Mac-n-Cheese orange color, the bacon was soft like ham but otherwise there was still something for my boss to fill up on. Over on the Japanese side, there was miso soup, rice porridge, rice with typical toppings, a bunch of pickled vegetables, mackerel and salmon. For 2400 Yen, it’s a bit steep but if my company’s covering then it’s almost worth the convenience. If you’re paying out of your own pocket and staying at this hotel, I recommend you taking the elevator down to the first floor of Sapia Tower, go over to the office building side, and grab some light provisions from Famima! or Starbucks. The views are of the Marunouchi and Yaesu areas and where we sat you can see all the different kinds of trains coming and going above ground to Tokyo Station. If you can read Japanese, this version of the website gives more information about breakfast than the English version:
