Nice neighborhood coffee joint. They roast their own coffee. Staff are friendly and well versed in their coffees. Most are roasted lightly to maintain their light floral notes. Be aware that you will not find strong and bitter roasts here, they focus on gentler roasts. Food is a few pastries and some sandwiches, though I usually pop in after lunch.

Small coffee place. There is no sign so it might be hard to know it’s coffee shop. Staff is very friendly and coffee is very good. Jimbocho-city doesn’t need Starbucks. I’ve never had such great coffee.

It’s a small little trendy coffee shop just off of the main street with all the old bookstores, music and ski/snowboarding shops. Seating is extremely limited and tight, so don’t plan on being here for a while. The coffee is all slow dripped in front of you, and it’s fresh. My only complaint would be that they have almost no selection of dark roast coffees. The staff of 2 are pretty friendly so you are able to have a conversation with them while they prepare your drink. If you’re looking for a small, neighborhood coffee shop, this is probably the go-to in the Jimbocho area.

A coffee specialist that roasts their own beans near Jimbo-cho Station. Tokyo is changing. Of course, you knew that. Actually, what many visitors to Tokyo does not know is that the core culture of each neighborhood is very sticky. Certain area has many new trendy shops, while others have many chain cafes. This Jinbocho area has traditionally been office buildings. Not so many cool shops pop up here. It has a very old traditional feel; quite the opposite from areas like Shibuya. People come to this area because they«have to», not because they«want to». I had a glitch in my memory bank about this coffee shop. I wrote this review 9 days after my first visit and could not remember why I was in Jimbocho. I vividly remember coming here with Tokyo Community Manager Rika N. and remember the contents of our meeting. However, why would we be here? For the life of me, I really thought that the pin location on Unilocal was wrong. There is no way that this cool and trendy coffee shop would be at this spot. Rika and I hit many cafes(sometimes more than one in a meeting), so I was starting to get confused. Then I remembered, we had a meeting with a beverage company in this neighborhood. I know that the readers doesn’t care, but I am writing this for myself. My reviews are mainly for my future memory assistance. The pin is at the right location. In April 2015, GLITCH opened at this location, where you would think that most of the people in the area 7-Eleven coffee drinkers. Would people pay premium prices for excellent tasting hand dripped coffee? We will see.
GLITCH means: G global L life I innovation T team C customer H high quality Coffee: I tried their Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Natural dripped coffee using Hario V60(480 Yen). Very good! On the same day, you could get another cup for 50% off. Seats: Indoor seating available. 3 counter stools. One table for 4 people in the middle of the store next to their roaster. There was a bench seat just outside the store. Issues: I did wish they had a better selection of sweets. I wanted something sweet, but the only thing they had were peanut butter sandwich roll. Chocolate bagel looked interesting, but too filling for me. Smoking: Non smoking, I think.
