It’s not often that a business makes me say «wow» even when they can’t help me.
Took mine and a friend’s snowboards here for a pre-​season wax and tune-​up. We were helped out by SAKUMA who was a really cool and knowledgeable dude. I got my snowboard waxed no problem, but unfortunately, my friend’s board was pretty screwed up and would need some serious body work to get it back into shape, which would take a few days. Since we have a trip coming up soon, there wasn’t enough time to have it serviced, but Sakuma let us know that the board is still rideable though it wouldn’t be as fast as usual. He also gave us the head’s up that there were probably other shops on the main road that would be willing to take our money and do a half-​assed job on servicing it when it wasn’t possible to do a proper same day tune-​up given the board’s condition. We really appreciated that he was honest and upfront and not willing to just overcharge us and do crap work on the repair. My friend said she’s definitely planning to take her board back here when we get back from our trip. Will update the review if I have anything new to add then~
The staff don’t seem to speak English, so I recommend taking a Japanese-​speaking friend if you go here!
