Very good modern hotel at very reasonable rates. *** Came here Oct ‘14 I couldn’t have been happier with everything from this hotel. The prices, location, convenience, service, quality of rooms, and much of the amenities far exceeded my expectations. The value was good, or at least a family member of mine was able to obtain a very attractive corporate at a very reasonable 25,000 japanese yen, or around US$ 240/night. At a city like this, I would have expected to pay close to double that amount. The premises are clean, modern, quiet, and visually pleasing. It may be an older building, but its hard to tell because it has been renovated so well. My room was spotless, had newer amenities, was well insulated from noise within and from outside the building. I was not far from the elevator, but I could seldom ever hear that. The regular room I stayed in was wonderful. The space was entirely clean, and housekeeping always took care of the room immaculately each day. It was surprisingly spacious, and almost felt like a suite. The bed was very comfortable. The views at the 25th floor were welcoming. The showers worked great in that I had no issue at all in getting the desired water temperature and pressure anytime during the day. Wifi is already included in the price, and it seems reasonably quick for something from a hotel. I enjoyed the fact that each room had its own temperature control. Sadly, I was not able to adjust the in room temperature any cooler than 65 F, but that is far more welcoming to me than much of the warmer indoor temperatures i encounter during the cooler months in Japan. The location is very convenient. I thought it was great that the hotel is tucked away in a more quiet part of tokyo, I believe in the Asakara district, not far from the Diet building and the Imperial Palace yet its also fairly convenient. If you take the hoel lift to the bottom, you can also walk to the JR subway lines in a few mins. I think the closes subway station is Kokkai-gijidomae. Service is great. On more than a few occasions, we pestered the staff to make restaurant reservations for us and advise on travel plans. Not once did we succeed in frustrating them. The hotel restaurant did a good job with a more traditional Japanese breakfast, and offered a buffet as well, although that was not included in the price of my hotel room. It could be different for others. For a more budget friendly option, there is a café and bakery right outside the basement level, on the way to the JR subway lines. I do not think they are owned by the hotel, however. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with The Capitol Hotel Tokyu!

Comfortable hotel in a quiet neighborhood with very helpful concierge service. We stayed at the Capitol Hotel Tokyu for our first three nights in Japan. Our room had«Japanese» style moving partition doors between the different spaces in the room, including the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well, despite jet lag. The concierge/manager«Michael» was incredibly helpful during our stay. He assisted us with booking a ryokan and restaurants that would accommodate our very particular dietary restrictions. The concierge desk really gave us top service in helping to book other parts of our trip to Japan. The nearby neighborhood is quiet at night(it looks like a government/business district), but the hotel is directly connected to multiple subway train lines, and it’s easy to get around the city. Breakfast was at two in-hotel restaruants, one with a Western/Japanese buffet and the other with a Japanese set menu. We didn’t try the restaurant with a set menu breakfast(because they couldn’t make vegetarian food), but the buffet had many different selections and, for example, we could get either Japanese rice porridge with different condiments(pickles, dashi, seaweed, etc.) or western-style omelettes. We did not go to any of the in-hotel restaurants for lunch or dinner.

Best hotel in Tokyo — by far! It’s clean. Modern. Safe. The staff are exceptional in their aim to please. It’s connected to 3 different subway metro lines. I will return here and recommend this hotel to everybody I know. The room was very nice size and the shower bathtub enclosure is amazing. Wonderful place!
