Uogashi Nihon-ichi Kasumigaseki Iino Bldg.

A pretty good sushi bar located in Shibuya! We came here after dinner to eat some sushi as we had passed it earlier. As the name says, it is a standing sushi bar– pretty small but really fast as you stand eat and go.
I decided to order the Fujiyama set as it included around 10 pieces of sushi for 1600 ($ 13). Really cheap for what you get! There was toro, scallops, ama ebi, and unagi in the set. The sushi was fresh overall and the cuts were good! The scallops and the ama ebi was my favorite of the set. I also ordered uni, but the Uni seemed to be getting a little old and not that fresh.
My friend got the Tokyo set which had less cuts and different types of fish. I think it’s super interesting how avocado is a nigiri here!
Good and quick place to stop by and get fresh sushi for a cheap price! Glad I got some sushi to satisfy my craving!

Standing room only but totally worth it. Our favorites were toro, hamachi, and the blowtorched ones like the ebi mayonnaise. They have English menus if you don’t know Japanese, and the chefs were pretty friendly. Ridiculously cheap. So cheap I wish I gorged on more sushi.

I don’t know if this is the Standing Sushi Bar in Shibuya or not. It’s the one that popped up when I checked in.
This place is packed with Japanese and the occasional gaijin looking for an authentic experience. The fish apparently comes fresh from Tsukiji daily, and it tastes super fresh to me.
If you have blonde hair and blue eyes like me they offer you an English Menu. They’re super good navigating using English with the gaijins from countries all over the world.
I’m no sushi snob. I love nigiri plain and simple and I like aburri with mayo and cheese.
