Classic Tokyo steakhouse experience! Terrific service, extremely flavorful kobe beef steak, creative appetizers and desserts, only downside is customer smoking dampens the otherwise enjoyable atmosphere

This is a great place to grab dinner regardless, it’s even better if you’re staying at the Ginza Courtyard Marriott. I got the BBQ style Kobe beef(this means you cook it yourself at your table), the garlic rice, and the Caesar salad, all of which were phenomenal. They have menus in both Japanese and English, with pictures of most dishes if you still aren’t sure what you want. Friendly staff with multiple people to assist. Pricing is reasonable relative to other similar restaurants in the area. Really good place to eat if you’re in the Ginza district.

This place is the real deal for Kobe beef. Of course, it’s expensive, but well worth it! A few things to keep in mind: 1. I recommend making a reservation. We were lucky to make a same-day reservation for 17:30pm. It may be tougher if you prefer to eat during peak hours. 2. We went for dinner, but apparently there’s a lunch special that’s a great bang-for-your-buck! 3. Call ahead of time to see what parts of the cow they have available that day/week you plan on eating. We did not do this, and found out when we got there that they only had rib loin and rump available. 4. Be prepared to enjoy your visit! They age the beef for 40 days, before serving it – it’s quite the process. They bring it out and cook it right in front of you at high heat! Then they take it away for 20 – 30 minutes and let it sit so that all the juices sink in. Then they finally bring it back out and slice it for you. Our waiter spoke great English and was able to answer all of our questions about what makes Kobe beef so special! So awesome!

I used to stay at the Courtyard in Ginza on my business trips to Japan and this was my go-to place for many of the nights of my stay. The meat here was amazing, even for the lower-priced cuts, and the higher-priced short-rib was absolutely heavenly and extremely well marbled. They have an English menu to choose from and the waitress spoke English well enough, the staff was very attentive and the overall experience was excellent. I went at least twice every trip and will again if I return.
