I cannot fully read or understand Japanese, but love the Japanese food books. Not necessarily cookbooks, because I wouldn’t be able to understand the instructions. But they have the slickest books with the prettiest and some of the most drool-worthy photographs. Many of these cannot easily be found outside of Japan. A new friend in Japan took us here to find a recently published Japanese-English book on sushi. Just what I needed, but didn’t know I did, until I saw their copy of it. This store is huge. In the middle of a weekday, it was bustling with shoppers and browsers. Perhaps on their lunch breaks. Previously, I was only familiar with the Kinokuniya bookstores. I’m very happy to have been introduced to another one, for future browsing in the food and cookbook sections. But with so many floors, anyone is sure to find something in their topic or topics of interest.
