Pan De Mere Grand Tree Musashikosugi

If you get to the restaurant between 9:30−10pm, they don’t want to serve you! We checked their last order time and arrived at 9:45 (L.O. 10pm), thinking it was enough time to order 2 entrees. The host didn’t want to seat us at all, even though the restaurant was empty. They finally agreed we could sit down and rushed us to order quickly. They also told us that they couldn’t cook things that take a long time. We ordered things that were quick. 2 Entrees. Very simple. No drinks, no appetizers. Still the staff reminded us about 4 times that we couldn’t order anything after that. It was very annoying to feel like the staff wants you to leave quickly.
There is a window next to the seats to view the cooks working. They were already cleaning up and just «hanging out» as we sat down. You could see how annoyed they were to find out they had 2 customers an hour before closing.
The reason I chose this restaurant was for the Galettes. I’ve had them in Kawasaki and hoped they would be good in Kosugi as well. They were dry and slightly burnt. I guess they really didn’t want us to enjoy ourselves? I probably won’t go back.
I checked out their website and found out this is a chain? I wonder if they know how their new shop is doing? That kind of work ethic doesn’t really cut it in Japan.
Update: Been back twice. Food was better. Service still terrible. Two college/​highschool age waiters with no communication skills. They kept bringing wrong food, forgetting basics (ie. Silverware, glasses for ALL table guests, etc.)
