I love watching art exhibitions. I came here more than ten times to see various kinds of art works such as impressionist school, Munch, Fruits de la Passion, Mucha, Marie Antoinette, Great French Correction from Clark, etc. Recently I went to a planned exhibition of modern arts of Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Choshun. Compared with the Western classical arts, Asian art works unfortunately did not seem to attract a lot of visitors. There were sparse views in the hall. However I was deeply moved by this exhibition. Genres of China or Korea before or after the Second World War were clearly displayed. There were differences in touches or shades or use of colors, and each country has each character. The ticket usually includes the permanent exhibition. In the permanent exhibition art works of painters in Kobe are displayed in every season. When I went to the permanent exhibition room, some volunteer guides explained viewers about each art work in detail by turns. I was lucky to happen to listen to him. On the day I visited the gallery talk of the artist(his exhibition was also held on that day) was carried out and I took part in it. The talk was very funny, full of curiosity and beyond my expectation. This museum is located facing the ocean. It takes about 10 minutes walk from Iwaya station of Hanshin railway line(the nearest station). The stylish ferroconcrete building was designed by a world famous architecture, T.A. I love his architecture but I always get lost in his buildings. They are like a maze! Near the wicket a locker room is annexed. You can utilize it free. If you insert 100 yen coin into the slot, it comes back you later. The planned exhibition is held on the third floor, where there are a large and a medium-sized exhibition rooms. After you finish the exhibition, you go down the stairs or elevator to see the permanent exhibition.
