What Justin Bieber concerts is to teenage girls, Anpanman Museum is to pre-elementary kids.
The place has two main areas. The 2^nd floor is the museum area, the 1^st floor is comprised of various shops, restaurants and activities. After going so many times, I now only take my kids to the 1^st floor, as I find it steep to pay 1,500 Yen (used to be 1,000 Yen) for every breathing soul.
My recommendation is to check «Uncle Jam’s Bread Shop» (ジャムおじさんのパン工場) where you can purchase your favorite character bread for 300 – 360 Yen each.
The highlights are the free shows, which usually are held 14pm and 17:30 pm everyday. Personally go for the 17:30 show as it is less crowded and kids have a chance to meet, greet, and shake hands with Anpanman, Currypanman, Shokupanman, etc.
