Gion Shijo Station

This station’s name has been changed to «Gion Shijyo Station». Former name was Shijyo station, which was akin to the one of Shijyo Kawaramachi, a little confusing. Nevertheless for its excellent accessibility, which is located between Gion and Kawaramachi, both of which are very bustling area, neighbors of the station have few shops. I wish much more confectionaries or souvenir shops of Kyoto opened next to the underground station, but there is sparse. Only a small stall providing some sweets of Kobe stands. I wondered why Kobe sweets were sold here in Kyoto.
Super express trains stop at this station. However, as it is not the terminal or the first station, depending on time, it is a little difficult to find a seat.
