Up until now this has been simply the best place I’ve eaten(and drank) in Japan; yes, this includes Tokyo. It can be a large number of things that are involved in this; the great company is on thing that really weighs in here. But the following things have been key parts of this restaurant getting my 5 stars: — excellent house sake(tip: drink it COLD) — awesome service: they really appreciate it if you know how to ask for seconds in japanese — try at least the minced meat balls Again our guide and friend Asami met us here, and a great call. No need to sit uncomfortably as most of us westerners are not used sitting on your own legs. The service is warm and friendly, the sake tastes very smooth and the quality of meat is astonishing. We were ordered almost everything! Here are my favorites: — take the chicken heart(yes: honestly: extremely tender) — the minced meat balls — chicken breast dressed with japanese style mustard — and of course the SAKE! A really hiddem gem in Kyoto: please don’t miss this place. Did I mention the menu is in english, too? :-)
