Gyoza no Fukuhou is the place to go whenever you feel like its a Gyoza kinda day. This particular store is located on Yamate Dori, but also has many locations throughout Tokyo(like Roppongi & Shinjuku). The seating in this place is rather limited, and I usually see a line of people waiting to get in. In both instances that I’ve gone, we waited for a good 15 min. But don’t worry, it’s definitely worth the wait, and it’s really cheap. 1300 yen for 30 pieces of fried gyoza; with a side order of rice, it’s a large enough portion for two people. Fukuhou has a very izakaya type feel and is definitely made for people who want to eat Gyoza, drink, and socialize.

The best gyoza in the world! At least in my world :) Found this place near my hotel a few years ago during a visit to Tokyo. Now it is a must visit everytime I return to Tokyo. Their gyoza has a thin light wrapper, the filling is soft with the perfect balance of meat, nira, and garlic. This with a beer and a bowl of rice is heaven. To add to my bliss, the price is unbelievably reasonable — a plate of 40 is only 1740 yen. Back home in Vancouver it usually costs around $ 5 for a barely edible plate of 5 sad excuses for gyoza. As ypu can guess I highly recommend this place!
