This is a fantastic JUICY burger. The hamburger is seriously a messy one, and quite delicious. I ordered the #1 recommended burger which was the hungry heaven cheese and it did not disappoint. The patty was dripping with deliciousness and the burger was topped with super crisp lettuce and juicy tomato and special sauce. While I love a great large burger, I did find it a bit challenging to eat this bad boy because it was so messy. Construction of the perfect burger takes precision. A great burger, however not the best burger I have ever had, but I would be more than happy to come back for more. Super generous serving of french fries and amazing service. Great find.

Great burgers and a large variety to choose from. The only pity is that they only serve burgers for lunch. I would not mind coming here in the evening for the best burgers in this area. Despite a small line when we arrived we got seated really quickly. There are different sizes to the serving of french fries and they were huge! I could not finish my portion and I had the small serving. Nonetheless, excellent burgers and I doubt anyone leaves still hungry from this place.

When my boyfriend told me he had to try a burger in Japan, I turned around and rolled my eyes. I am glad that I begrudgingly agreed to try this highly rated burger joint. The cheese they use in their cheeseburger is very unique with a creamy yet not super heavy consistency. This was a very messy burger, something you wouldn’t expect in Japan. I got the spicy chicken burger which was pretty on point. I wouldn’t say it blew me away so I think if I had to come back, I’d get a cheeseburger instead. Pro tip: If you come on a weekday they give you free fries and drink with your burger. You can pick any size fries, soda, tea, coffee are among the drink choices.

Ordered the Cheese Cheese Cheese burger set with fries and a ginger ale. A perfect way to pass the afternoon during a windy day in Tokyo. My selection of this place was based on a recommendation after a discussion on comfort foods and how burgers play into that for me. This place definitely hit the spot. It’s definitely not a high-end burger but definitely not at the fast-food irrelevance end of the spectrum either. A decent but basic ground patty perfectly executed with a wild assortment of toppings and a delicious bun pairing. I ordered the Cheese Cheese Cheese and while feeling some trepidation given the name at the idea I’d end up with a gooey greasy cheesy mess I was actually impressed with how well it all held itself together. The grilled onions were a nice touch too that went with the cheese well without exceeding my grease tolerance. I will DEFINITELY be returning. So far one of the best comfort burgers I’ve had in town.

Craziest burger menu in Tokyo! Just a minutes walk from Megro Station upstairs down a little hall is likely the best burger you will find in all of Japan. This thing is not only Oishii, but it’s also a bit crazy. The staff is always great, the environment is unique and the menu is bonkers! Good reasons for going to Hungry Heaven are #1 good burger #2 conversations about the menu. Enjoy and don’t forget they change their menu at night, so make sure you are there during the day for Hungry Heaven burgers!

First truly amazing hamburger I had in Tokyo. Fat, greasy, cheap, yet innovatively clean thanks to their paper sack handling method. Lunch menu prices are insanely cheap quality — price. I’ll be there everyday.

Big, bodacious, unapologetically messy burger will make you smile real big. Go. Eat. Repeat. Look out for the red sign on the street, you can’t miss it. Shop is on the second floor.

Right off of the meguro station on the JR line. They have an English menu and I ordered the grill grill grill burger that had grilled onions, bacon(really grilled Canadian bacon), grilled onions, grilled tomato and cheese and it was delicious! It was also super messy! Luckily they provide wax paper pockets to wrap your burger in as to not get your hands dirty(yay!!!) Ben got the avocado cheese burger but his burger was a bit dry. Awesome find when in need of a burger in Tokyo! Cash only for lunch.

Amazing. I had the double patty triple cheese burger and it was perfect. My gf had the tartare burger with pineapple. It has been a long time since I have had a burger that good. There was nothing about this place that i didn’t like. The restaurant has a cool rustic vibe, the drinks are not expensive, the menu is stacked and the burgers are reasonably priced, even cheap for this quality. The staff were friendly and helpful and they have awesome hungry heaven t shirts based on great old school grunge and metal bands. I will definitely be going back. To be honest I want to go today, but that would be insanity. My favorite burger shop in Tokyo so far(and I have tried a lot of them) Do yourself a favor and go there ASAP!!!

BEST burger! Must-have the Double Heaven with cheese whenever I’m in Japan. So freaking juicy good! Words & pictures do not do it justice, you have to eat it in person. My go-to burger in Tokyo from now on. In n Out you have met your match in Japan!

I love to eat the burger at this place! Reason why this place tastes different from other place or franchising is they are originally Korean BBQ place. It means they know what the great beef is like and how to cook well. It really makes sense! Great taste and great size! We can’t eat without burger papers which is set on the table. Also we can chose amount of French fry. I heard they are running this burger shop only around lunch time, night time will be BBQ place. So you better rush into before dinner time comes if you crave for great burgers ;)

If you love Tokyo burger you must give Hungry Heaven a try before ranking any other burger shop here in Tokyo… this way you’ll know what one of the best shops have to offer and thus correctly ranking all you other adventures. Hungry Heaven has two Tokyo branches and its just a gem. We arrived at noon to a full house so had to wait about 20 minutes for the first wave of lunch goers to slowly exit. Interior is very cozy and the wood seats a pleasant attraction… almost like a picnic table. My boss ordered the Avocado Burger and for me? Absolutely went for the Grill Grill Grill burger with tasty soft sauteed onions and a slab of thick bacon… plus it had mozzarella cheese topping! The burger came out and it was oozing with juiciness… I mean this meat patty was soooo juicy! Both burgers were excellent and its a no-brainer to give this place a try. If if Meguro and you are in search for perfection do give Hungry Heaven a try!
