What the heck is this place? Is it a surf shop? Is it a coffee bar? Well. it’s BOTH! And what’s not to like about places that mix it up and give you two things at the same time? Some call it weird, I call it efficient. I digress. Saturdays Surf NYC’s Tokyo location is like its brand, unique. It’s definitely off the beaten path but at the same time worth the journey if you are familiar with the brand. It’s signature look inspires casual or dressy depending on how you mix and match the pieces. Whether a safari print inspires you or something more simple with a patch on the elbows, there is a small but very central selection that allows you to mix things up with ease. Service was alright. Not certain if it was the cultural difference, but it was nothing to sneer at nor write home about. However, when it comes to shopping, be sure to ask for assistance because you will be looking for your size for quite some time. Ask and they can bring out the size you might be looking for.
