Idee Café Parc is at the back of Idee Store on the third floor of Tokyo Midtown. The best thing about this place is the al fresco patio dining that overlooks the Midtown Plaza. It’s an alternative to standing in lines out the door at Starbucks or jostling for space in Midtown’s basement food establishments. You can see the office workers hurrying for lunch on weekdays and sometimes hear Tokyo FM’s broadcast out of its studio inside the Midtown Starbucks while you leisurely look down. There are the usual coffee and tea drinks, limited bottled beer, some pastry desserts, sandwich set options, and a la carte appetizers like prosciutto, olives, veggie chips, and cheese, to create a plate. A prosciutto and Camembert plate I had was satisfying. I do not need stylish Tokyo apartment sized home furnishings from Idee, but I would go back to this café for the relaxed atmosphere and view.
