One week later, I still haven’t lapsed from a state of euphoria thinking about Sushi Abe.
Delivers on food, service, price? Check, check, check.
Toured through a handful of sushi joints while in Tokyo and this is way up on the list to revisit. Nestled on a street in Hiroo, south of Shibuya and just west of Roppongi. They have 2 floors, sat at the sushi bar upstairs as the larger sushi bar downstairs was full.
Chef Suzuki was a star — super friendly, humorous, attentive, explained every dish and made the meal unforgettable. Everything was supremely fresh and there was a ton of detail and TLC in every piece.
A few of the many standouts:
— otoro sashimi: buttery delight
— uni sashimi: swoon-​worthy layers on layers of sweet goodness
— kamasu sashimi: smokey sear accentuated by a side of sea salt
— anago nigiri: soft & sweet w/​superb rice
— tamago: velvety sweet finisher
So, worth going? …did they find Nemo? Counting down til the next time.

Good sushi in nice clean and friendly atmosphere. Surprisingly decent pricing is a big plus :-)
