OK, another chain restaurant that you’ll find primarily in the larger, department store-like Yodobashi Camera stores on their designated restaurant dining floors. As you can see from the photos, I like consistency and usually end up ordering the same set, the same curries, but sometimes mix up the choice of side dishes. Did I say consistent? Well, they are in taste, presentation and of course, cost. Today’s was both better and slightly worse than usual. Here’s why: The tandoori chicken was tasty, but maybe a tad bit too salty. The samosa was tasty, filling and well-seasoned. It was slightly over-cooked, as the outer deep-fried pastry should be light, flaky and buttery. Today’s keema was as fast as usual. And finally, there’s the spinach bean curry. This was(surprisingly) under-spiced and the spinach was of marginal quality. I also ordered an iced chai, which was only an extra ¥150, half off the single order cost. Four stars for consistency, cleanliness of the restaurant and friendly staff. Sure, there’s always room for improvement but in general, they perform well.
