Nice, spacious facility run by the government of Musashino city. Basic layout by floor is: * Basement: Library * Ground floor: Periodicals, reading spaces, multipurpose space used for short-term exhibitions/events, Café Fermata, book return * Second floor: Children’s books, periodicals(back issues), reading spaces * Third floor: Administration office/counter, bag lunch dining corner, books, student study room, meeting rooms * Fourth floor: Working space, meeting/event rooms, roof deck Working space and meeting rooms can be reserved(paid service) using the reservation terminals on the third floor. Working space offers three time slots at four hours each, ¥400 per time slot. Times are: 9:40 — 13:40; 13:50 — 17:50; 18:00 — 22:00(closing). A limited number of annual passes also available, but only offer eight(8) slots per month — you pay the standard rates for any overtime/additional slots you use. Most information is offered in Japanese only, which is the reason for this overview in English. Overall, it’s a very nice, modern facility. Good place to catch up on the latest publications as there is a huge selection of newspapers and magazines(quite a few in English too). Located a convenient one-minute walk from the south exit of JR Musashi Sakai station, it’s a good space for study, reading or meetings. Note: Facility use is limited to registered residents of Mitaka and Musashino cities(maybe others). You need to show proof of residence when applying for a usage card.
