Yakiniku(Charcoal BBQ) restaurant where locals go Richo-en is perhaps the most popular Yakiniku place in Kichijoji. No reservation on weekend. On weekdays, you should ask a Japanese-speaking person to make a phone reservation. Or you should go before 4pm, when they open. If you do not make a reservation but want to dine here, you should directly visit and sign up, Be prepared for 2 hours wait. But it is worth. Try Karubi(ribeye), ro-su(loin), harami(belly) as well as tanshio(salty tongue). The no-frills restaurant is loved by locals. Not so many westerners go, but worth trying.(Maybe no English menu, though.)
