I heard about this place when browsing YouTube videos for pubs to visit while in Tokyo. Nakanbiru Koubou is located in a cluster of bars and restaurant, which made it even more difficult to find. Once I arrived at the Nakano subway station, I had to ask around for directions… thank you google for creating «g» translate.
The ambiance was quite cozy and well designed. This place is mostly standing room with only two small areas for sitting. Nakanbiru Koubou brews their own beers and cost 500yen/​drink, which is really reasonable. My only complaint is for the noticeably quarter of the mug head poured with each drink. Prior to ordering anther beer, each patron must rinse their own mug (see pic) which will be reused. Efficient on for the pub, but something that I’m not used to doing.
